Maura Higgins tells Page Six Radio why she knew Rob Rausch would make good on Birkin promise

Maura Higgins says she had a feeling Rob Rausch would eventually make good on his extravagant promise — even after he betrayed her in the dramatic finale of “The Traitors” Season 4.

During an exclusive interview with SiriusXM’s Page Six Radio, Higgins told us she always suspected Rausch was serious when he vowed to buy her a Birkin bag as a peace offering for the gameplay that ultimately helped him win the season.

“He brought it up at the reunion and then I was like, ‘Whatever,’” Higgins recalled. “Then when we were [filming] Eric Nam’s music video, he brought it up to me and he goes, ‘You know I’m definitely getting you the bag.’ And I was kind of like, ‘Yeah, I’ll believe it when I see it.’”

Her skepticism wasn’t unfounded. Higgins said several of their fellow contestants doubted the reality star would actually follow through.

“A lot of the other cast members from the castle were kind of like, ‘Oh Maura, you’re believing in this man again,’” she said with a laugh.

But Higgins insisted she had a different perspective once the game was over.

“And I’m like, ‘I actually am — because we’re not in a game anymore,’” she explained. “So, I’m laughing now. Who’s laughing? Me!”

Sure enough, Rausch proved her right this week when he presented Higgins with a stunning burgundy Hermès Birkin live on “Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen” Wednesday night alongside host Andy Cohen.

The coveted handbag — a burgundy Hermès Togo Birkin 30 with gold hardware — is estimated to cost between $16,000 and $22,000.

The luxury item didn’t just appear out of thin air, though. Higgins told Page Six Radio that fellow “Traitors” star Lisa Rinna played a key role in helping Rausch secure the coveted accessory.

“It’s crazy. I call her my American mom now,” Higgins said of the “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” alum. “She’s been really cheering me on and rooting for me, and that means a lot to me.”

According to Higgins, she immediately suggested Rausch enlist Rinna’s help, knowing how difficult it can be to purchase a Birkin.

“You can’t just walk into an Hermès store and buy a Birkin. It’s not easy. You have to have an appointment. Some people are on waitlists for, like, over a year,” she explained.

“But obviously, Lisa Rinna — the queen that she is — has a lot of contacts, a lot,” Higgins added. “So, I said to Rob immediately, ‘Speak to Lisa.’”

Rinna ultimately helped connect Rausch with Madison Avenue Couture, the luxury reseller where he sourced the bag.

“I said to him, ‘Lisa will make that happen.’ And she was like, ‘Of course I will.’ And I just knew she would,” Higgins said.

The burgundy bag also happened to align perfectly with Higgins’ recent manifestation.

“The last one I got was, like, a creamy color and I said to all my friends, ‘The next one’s gonna be burgundy,’” she told us. “I think I bought my last one only, like, a couple of months ago.”

As it turns out, Rausch delivered exactly what she had in mind.

“The Traitors” is available to stream on Peacock.
