Meghan Markle is marking International Day of the Girl by honoring the special little one in her life: 4-year-old daughter Princess Lilibet.

“To all the girls — this world is yours,” Meghan, 44, wrote via Instagram on Saturday, October 11. “Do everything you can to protect your rights, use your voice, support each other. We will do the same for you. It’s your right and our responsibility.”

She added, “Go get ‘em girl! 🏃‍♀️ Happy International Day of the Girl.”

Alongside her impactful caption, Meghan also shared a handful of rare images of her and husband Prince Harry’s daughter. (The Duke and Duchess of Sussex also share 6-year-old son Prince Archie.)

Meghan Markle is celebrating Princess Lilibet’s 4th birthday by highlighting her daughter’s bond with Prince Harry. “The sweetest bond to watch unfold,” Meghan, 43, captioned an Instagram photo on Wednesday, June 4. “Daddy’s little girl and favorite adventurer. Happy birthday Lili!” The first photo shared Harry, 40, holding a newborn Lili in his arms following […]

Meghan, dressed in a white button-down with matching trousers, held Lili’s hand as they stood in front of a serene-looking creek. Lili was pretty in pink, opting for a full blush-colored ensemble with a matching handbag. The toddler also wore her red hair, matching dad Harry’s own ginger locks, in a messy ponytail.

In a second upload, Meghan captured footage of Lili running through the family’s backyard.

Meghan reposted her images onto her Instagram Story with the simple caption, “Happy International Day of the Girl.”

Meghan gave birth to Lili in June 2021 after previously suffering a miscarriage.

“When I reveal things that are moments of vulnerability when it comes to having a miscarriage and maybe having felt ashamed about that, like, ‘It’s OK, you’re human. It’s OK to talk about that,’” Meghan said of her pregnancy loss during a December 2022 episode of her and Harry’s eponymous Netflix docuseries. “And I could make the choice to never talk about those things or I could make the choice to say, ‘With all the bad that comes with this, the good is being able to help other people.’ That’s the point of life, right? It’s connection and community.”

Since welcoming her daughter, Meghan has been candid about the joys of being a girl mom.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are loving life with daughter Princess Lilibet following her birth in June 2021. Harry and Meghan had welcomed their eldest son, Prince Archie, two years earlier in May 2019 and he took to his big brother role immediately. “Archie absolutely adores his little sister and gives her lots of kisses,” […]

“Happy birthday to our beautiful girl! Four years ago today she came into our lives — and each day is brighter and better because of it.” she wrote via Instagram in June, celebrating Lili’s most recent birthday. “Thanks to all of those sending love and celebrating her special day!”

In a follow-up post, Meghan revealed that she danced to the now-viral “Baby Mama Dance” to try to induce labor.

“Four years ago today, this also happened. Both of our children were a week past their due dates,” Meghan wrote at the time, alongside hospital footage. “So when spicy food, all that walking, and acupuncture didn’t work — there was only one thing left to do! 😂.”

The former Suits star later defended posting the clip, citing her intentions to live life authentically.

“You have to be authentic,” Meghan said on Emma Grede’s “Aspire” podcast later in June. “It’s also a really great reminder that with all the noise or whatever people do, there’s still a whole life — a real, authentic, fun life — that’s happening behind the scenes. I’m just grateful that now, being back on social, as well, I have a place where I can share it on my own terms.”

Meghan rejoined Instagram in January, several years after shuttering her accounts when she married Harry.
