Meghan Markle’s BFF gives glimpse inside family’s new UK life

Meghan Markle’s best friend, Kelly McKee Zajfen, pulled back the curtain on the Duchess of Sussex’s new life in the UK.

Zajfen shared serene photos of herself and her infant son Jack enjoying the late summer visit with the As Ever lifestyle brand founder in an Instagram upload on Wednesday.

In one photo, Markle cradled Jack while sitting at a wooden table in a rustic-style setting, and in a brief video clip, Zajfen bounced her baby in a carrier while visiting what appeared to be a local pub.

In another snap, Markle’s husband Prince Harry relaxed a carpet on the floor while playing with the baby. And in yet another, Markle and her longtime friend sat at an outdoor table playing mahjong among the lush greenery surrounding them, with the “Suits” alum seemingly giggling as the photo was snapped.

Another snapshot showed a single daisy in a field of bright flowers, and yet another showed Zajfen holding up her son in a sunshine-filled room with floor-to-ceiling windows.

Princess Lilibet appeared to interact with Zajfen on a couch in one pic.

“Having the best time. 🤍 ” Zajfen captioned the carousel. “There’s something so special about getting a taste of this magical place with my bestie, and having my sweet Jack along for the adventure.”

Zajfen gushed that she “loved seeing this sweet chapter through” her bestie’s eyes and reflected on their “daily adventures.”

“Family time is just what the heart ordered,” she continued, “With a side of mashed peas and fish n chips! All of it has filled my heart.”

Zajfen wrote that she’s leaving the country after the visit “with full hearts and definitely leaving a piece of ours here. 🤍”

She concluded the post by thanking those she’d “met or bumped into” alongside the Duchess of Sussex for “being so loving to” her friend.

“It’s been beautiful to witness,” she wrote. “She missed you too! Cheerio!”

In the comments thread, fans praised the activist for sharing the intimate photos, with one person writing, “Glad to see Meghan surrounded by people who love her,” and adding in part, “Please tell Meghan we love her and many of us out here are praying for her.”

Another remarked, “I love the community and family you guys have built,” while a third chimed in, “We are so happy to see her and H back home ❤️”

Prince Harry, 42, and the “With Love, Meghan” host, 45, abruptly left their estate in Santa Barbara, California, last month with a plan to re-establish themselves in Harry’s home country and strengthen their children’s relationships with his family.

Prince Archie, 7, and Princess Lilibet, 5, had initially been enrolled in a prep school in the area, but due to travel logistics, were pulled from the school just two days in and enrolled in a new UK school.

Parents at the new school have reportedly been put on notice to be wary of whose children they photograph.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex famously left the UK in 2020 following the birth of Prince Archie, quitting their duties as working members of the royal family and establishing themselves in Southern California.

The relocation comes after Netflix failed to renew their lucrative deal with the streaming giant.
