Meghan Trainor sets the record straight on her involvement in ‘toxic’ mom group drama

Meghan Trainor insists she’s not the one.

The pop star took to TikTok Monday to shut down any remaining speculation that Ashley Tisdale was referring to her when the actress published an essay about breaking up with her “toxic” mom group.

“Me still trying to convince everyone I’m not involved in the mom group drama,” Trainor, 32, wrote atop a video of her mouthing the words, “Come on, you have to believe me! Please. You have to believe me! No, you have to.”

She captioned the clip, “I swear I’m innocent 🙏.”

This is the second time the singer-songwriter has addressed the situation via TikTok, initially taking to the platform to upload a video that showed her typing at her computer.

The words, “Me finding out about the apparent mom group drama,” were written atop the footage, which was set to the tune of her own song “Still Don’t Care.”

Her husband, Daryl Sabara — with whom she shares sons Riley, 4, and Barry, 2 — also weighed in, telling a paparazzo that there was “no drama over here.”

“Just trying to keep the kids happy, you know?” Sabara, 33, said, adding of Tisdale, “I don’t really know what’s going on. I hope she’s OK, though.”

Earlier this month, the “High School Musical” star, 40, penned an article for The Cut in which she described feeling “not cool enough” after being excluded from some of her mom group’s hangouts, eventually prompting her to step away from those friendships.

It wasn’t long before it was revealed that the mom group in question includes Trainor, Hilary Duff and Mandy Moore, even though Tisdale’s publicist claimed her client was referring to a different mom group.

Notably, Tisdale no longer follows Duff — whose husband, Matthew Koma, clapped back with a shady post mocking the “Suite Life of Zack & Cody” star — or Moore on Instagram.

However, she and Trainor do still follow each other.
