Melissa Gorga âexcitedâ about possibility of âfresh facesâ on âRHONJâ amid contentious cast

Melissa Gorga expressed her excitement for the possibility of “fresh faces” being added to “The Real Housewives of New Jersey” as half of the cast no longer gets along with the other half.
“Listen, I’m excited for what’s to come. I think we are due for some type of change. I don’t know what kind of change, but I am excited to see what happens. I am excited to see what’s next and where this show goes from here,” she told us while promoting her collaboration with Rao’s Homemade.
The longtime “RHONJ” star, however, hasn’t heard anything relating to what Bravo plans to do with the show. “My guess is as good as yours,” she said.
Gorga, 45, shared the comment when asked about Andy Cohen recently agreeing that the beloved franchise is due “for a rebrand.”
A fan called into his SiriusXM show, “Andy Cohen Live,” on Monday and asked Cohen to “bring fresh faces in” and “get rid” of all the “negativity.”
“I agree,” Cohen replied. “We’re gonna figure something out. We’re gonna figure something out. We are all on the same page about that.”
The future of “RHONJ” has been a topic of conversation ever since Page Six confirmed that Bravo would be forgoing a traditional reunion amid heightened tensions among cast members.
Instead, Variety reported that the cast filmed two watch parties where they viewed the intense finale in separate rooms at Rails Steakhouse in Towaco, NJ, on Monday.
Gorga was joined by Margaret Josephs, Rachel Fuda, Danielle Cabral and “friend of” Jennifer Fessler, while her sister-in-law, Teresa Giudice, watched with Jennifer Aydin and Jackie Goldschneider.
Dolores Catania –– who has stayed friends with everyone –– popped into both rooms.
A source previously told Page Six that the finale will consist of an intense dinner with all the cast members.
“[Forgoing a reunion] makes sense,” the insider told us last month. “And once viewers see the finale, the decision to forgo the traditional reunion will make even more sense.”
Gorga shared her feelings on “RHONJ” casting while promoting her partnership with Rao’s Homemade and her favorite jarred marinara sauce.
“Growing up as an Italian girl and always just watching my mother cook, all we did since we were young girls was learn how to make red sauce. So being able to partner with Rao’s Homemade has been a dream, because honestly, I’m so picky and it is literally the only one that I will eat besides my own red sauce,” she raved.
“The Real Housewives of New Jersey” airs Sundays at 8 p.m. ET on Bravo.
