Miranda Priestly has entered the Runway building.
Meryl Streep was spotted on the set of The Devil Wears Prada 2 in New York City on Wednesday, July 23, looking exactly the same as her formidable editor-in-chief character did nearly 20 years ago in the original movie.
The three-time Oscar winner, 76, was snapped once again rocking Miranda’s signature short white hairstyle, in a fashion-forward (of course) ensemble consisting of a khaki-colored trench coat, belted brown pencil midi skirt and purple V-neck blouse.
She finished the look in coordinating pumps, dark sunglasses and simple gold earrings as she walked down a city street in the Big Apple’s Midtown neighborhood, near a movie trailer.

A sequel to the original 2006 film — which starred Streep, Anne Hathaway, Stanley Tucci and Emily Blunt — was confirmed in July 2024.
It has since been revealed that many of the original stars will return, stepping back into their iconic roles in the glamorous-but-evolved high-fashion journalism industry years later.
Based on Lauren Weisberger’s book of the same name, the first film follows Andy Sachs (Hathaway, 42), a recent college graduate eager to pursue a career in journalism. Andy ends up working as a junior assistant for Miranda Priestly (Streep), the editor-in-chief of Runway, a fictional high-fashion magazine.
Throughout the movie, Andy struggles to meet the demands of her job while maintaining her relationship with her boyfriend and co-workers, Emily (Blunt, 42) and Nigel (Tucci, 64).
Streep’s set appearance comes two days after Hathaway teased that filming for the sequel was officially underway.
Having used a manual toothbrush while getting ready for her interview at Runway in the first flick, the Academy Award winner showed herself hastily getting ready with an electric one in the new clip.

She evoked her character Andy further by appearing to wear a cerulean blue sweater with her hair unkempt. (In the first film, Miranda famously berates Andy for wearing the sweater without the knowledge of the history behind the item.)
“Heading to werk #dwp2,” Hathaway captioned her TikTok video.
The Devil Wears Prada 2 hits theaters on May 1, 2026.
