Mormon Wives’ Chase McWhorter Takes Swipe at Jessi Draper’s Ex Jordan Ngatikaura Amid Kiss Drama
The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives’ Chase McWhorter and Jordan Ngatikaura had a tense exchange after it was revealed that Chase kissed Jordan’s estranged wife, Jessi Draper.
News broke on Thursday, March 26, that Chase, 30, and Jessi, 33, shared a kiss at a party last weekend. As one insider exclusively described the situation to Us Weekly, “They were having fun at a party, and it’s not serious between them.”
Chase’s ex-wife and Jessi’s Mormon Wives costar Miranda Hope McWhorter later reacted to the news with a tongue-in-cheek video shared via TikTok and Instagram. “[Get ready with me] while I process my friend group being a waiting room for my ex-husband,” Miranda wrote over a video of herself doing her makeup.
In a seemingly deleted comment on Miranda’s Instagram post, Jordan — who filed for divorce from Jessi earlier this month — appeared to write about his estranged wife, “Looks like she can’t even be faithful or loyal even in a friendship… too bad.”
Chase responded to Jordan, “Back to LinkedIn u go,” appearing to suggest the DadTok influencer look for a job.
While the exchange between Chase and Jordan no longer appears to be visible on Miranda’s post, screenshots of the comments circulated on X late Thursday night.
In a statement to Entertainment Tonight on Thursday, Miranda admitted she felt “slighted” by her Mormon Wives costar over the incident.
“I knew there had been communication between Chase and Jessi but not to what extent,” she said. “Chase was upfront and told me that they were talking and that they kissed. Jessi reached out only after she knew Chase had told me something was going on with them.”
“What I never want to get misconstrued is that there is not any emotional attachment to Chase,” added the MomTok influencer, who shares son Brooks, 6, and daughter Cohen, 4, with Chase. “He is my coparent. Although I do feel disrespected by Chase, I feel slighted by my friend. Chase and I are no longer partners and while I have a high expectation of him as a coparent, I also hold my friends to a high standard and believe in girl code.”
Miranda concluded her statement, “With everything going on and all the chaos, I am just focusing on my kids. As unfortunate as the film break is and then also this betrayal I’m going to try and focus on my kids and reground myself. I am processing it and moving forward.”
Us reached out to reps for Jessi and Chase for comment.
Jordan confirmed he filed for divorce from Jessi in a March 19 statement. The exes share son Jagger, 5, and daughter Jovi, 3.
“I’m grateful for the shared memories and the lessons,” Jordan told Us. “While our paths are now moving in different directions, my priority remains my children and ensuring they feel loved, supported, and protected through this transition.”
