Mötley Crüe and Dolly Parton are heading “Home Sweet Home” to a truly noble cause with their electrifying – and charitable – new duet.
The country music legend, 79, and rock superstars have joined forces on a new version of the latter’s timeless hit track, which sees Parton’s vocals at their very best, covering the full breadth of the dynamic rock opera alongside Mötley Crüe’s Vince Neil’s iconic harmonization.
In an official statement shared with PEOPLE, the band noted, “‘Home Sweet Home’ was first released in 1985 as a single from our Theatre Of Pain album. For an icon like Dolly Parton to sing on a song that has not only meant so much to us but to all the fans through the years, is a career high that means a lot to us.”
They continued: “We couldn’t be happier to celebrate the 40th anniversary of ‘Home Sweet Home’ in this special way, and we’re excited to share this version of the song with all the Dolly and Mötley fans around the world.”
As for Parton, she shared in an official press release statement that said, “It was an honor and a joy working in the studio on Mötley Crüe’s 40th Anniversary re-release of ‘Home Sweet Home’. I was so pleased that they would ask me to sing on such a classic.”

Previously, Mötley Crüe has rerecorded “Home Sweet Home” duets with the late Linkin Park singer Chester Bennington in 2005, as well as lead singer Neil, 64, teaming up solo with country artist Justin Moore on another version in 2014, respectively. The band also rereleased the song as a solo remix for their 1991 compilation Decade of Decadence 81-91.
This particular duet is much more than just another reworking of a classic, however, as the superstar pairing came together to advocate for and raise funds to support Covenant House, an organization that members of Mötley Crüe heavily support, which works to provide safe shelter and meals to youth experiencing homelessness. A portion of all proceeds from the track will go directly to their charitable efforts.
The Dölly Crüe collaboration also includes a new hot pink women’s T-shirt with both of their names in script printed on the front, a black T-shirt with a graphic of “Dolly Crüe” superimposed over the Hollywood sign and a tote bag with the same graphic, all available on the band’s webstore.

“That we were able to unite with Dolly to raise awareness for homeless youth and the amazing work of Covenant House, which provides them safe housing and care, makes it even more special,” the band added in their official statement. “We hope you’ll enjoy ‘Home Sweet Home’ featuring Dolly Parton as much as Dolly and we enjoyed creating it.”
The release comes as a part of the band’s latest effort: From The Beginning, a brand new singles collection that is set to arrive on Sept. 12, which they stated will be a “definitive compilation” that “traces the band’s storied career from their start on the Sunset Strip in Los Angeles to their current status as global rock titans.”
Coinciding with the release of From The Beginning, Mötley Crüe will be kicking off their highly anticipated 10-show residency at Dolby Live at Park MGM in Las Vegas the same day.
