An online feud has ignited between Nicki Minaj and SZA — and is dragging in other artists.

The “Super Bass” rapper, 42, posted about SZA, 35, on X on Tuesday, July 15, seemingly sparking a feud between the musicians.

It kicked off when Minaj posted about Top Dawg Entertainment president Terrence “Punch” Henderson, who was also SZA’s manager until late 2024. Minaj claimed that Henderson had been “bullying” her.

Minaj wrote, “Yall remember that man from tde who kept bullying me on Twitter for no reason? We have the receipts. lol. I never even responded to him. What was his name again, yall? I’m going to give him a nickname. Ima call him ‘Minus 30 million’ from now on. #JusticeForDemoree.”

The beef started to take off between the two singers when SZA posted, “Mercury retrograde .. don’t take the bait lol silly goose.”

Minaj, who seemed to assume the statement was directed at her, quoted SZA’s note and responded: “Go draw your freckles back on bookie  #JusticeForDemoree #DepositionPerez Liar liar pants on fire. Sounding like a fkng dead dog.” In a subsequent post, Minaj said SZA “looking & sounding like she got stung by a f—ing bee.”

The hashtags Minaj used refer to RocNation CEO Desiree Perez’s daughter Demoree Hadley, who claims she was institutionalized for two weeks without cause.

SZA fired back, “I don’t give a f–– bout none of that weird s— you popping.” She also replied to an account that seemed to warn her about the Barbz, Minaj’s fanbase.

“I get bullied by millions online every day then step my ass out onna packed stadium tour where ppl show me REAL love . IN REAL LIFE,” she wrote. “My parents are healthy and I’m the most successful I ever been . GET SOME F—ING PERSPECTIVE n BARK AT THE WALL !!!”

SZA appeared to bow out of the online spat, writing, “Lmao lemme go back to being calm shy and meek . Yall have blessed night ! See you tomorrow for night 2 Paris !! ❤️🫶🏾.”

The “Scorsese Baby Daddy” singer is currently on tour with Kendrick Lamar and is at the Paris La Défense Arena on Wednesday, July 16.

Minaj then added hours later, “SZA if every song you’ve ever done vanished right now the music business wouldn’t even miss you. I’ve been to countries that never heard of you.” She also shaded SZA’s 2024 album SOS Deluxe: Lana, which featured 14 brand new songs and the original SOS tracks.

Like what in the insecure lack of morals & integrity you doing? I thought she was like a real artist? Girl bye,” Minaj wrote.

Minaj also shared an X post from a fan made up of screenshots of old SZA social media posts commenting negatively about Beyoncé, Madonna, Rihanna and Ciara.

“Like do you know the level of inside HATE for yourself you had to have had to be this much of a c— for no reason to the women you later worked with? Now wanna act like you a motherf—ing tarot card, bitch quit,” she wrote. “What an odd little weirdo.”

PEOPLE reached out to SZA and Minaj for comment and did not receive an immediate response

This isn’t the first time Minaj has sparked discourse with celebrities. Cardi B, Miley Cyrus and Mariah Carey are among the stars she has sparred with in the past.
