Nicole Kidman reveals Met Gala date after finalizing Keith Urban divorce
It’s a family affair.
Nicole Kidman revealed she will be accompanied by her oldest daughter to the 2026 Met Gala on May 4.
“And this is—I think it’s the third time I’ve co-chaired—but to do it now?” the “Moulin Rouge” actress expressed on the March 11 episode of the “Las Culturistas” podcast. “I’m so, so happy, and my daughter Sunday will be coming.”
Kidman shares the 17-year-old and daughter Faith, 15, with ex-husband Keith Urban.
The “Big Little Lies” star, who is also mom to Bella, 33, and Connor, 31, whom she shares with ex-husband Tom Cruise, gushed that Sunday “loves fashion.”
Kidman continued, “She’s actually just walked the Dior show. Yeah, she’s flying back from Paris now.”
But the “Perfect Couple” alum can’t take credit for Sunday’s career.
“It’s her own, whole world and it’s incredible,” Kidman noted.
Kidman previously held the co-chair position alongside Anna Wintour in 2003 and 2005. This time around, she is most excited to see one fellow co-chair in particular.
“Well I just get to be there for Beyoncé,” Kidman gushed.
Rounding out the co-chairs for 2026 is Venus Williams.
Sunday, meanwhile, has continued to take the modeling world by storm. She first made her runway debut at Miu Miu’s spring/summer 2025 Paris Fashion Week show in October 2024.
Sunday then starred in an accompanying campaign for the brand’s collection the following January, posing in a trench coat and skirt.
Scoring her first fashion magazine cover, Sunday posed for Nylon’s August 2025 issue in a brown leather Prada skirt suit.
At the time, she admitted she was already taking inspiration from her mother’s fashion forward closet.
“I take everything from my mom’s closet,” she told the outlet. “I sometimes joke with her that it’s my favorite store.”
Despite her career flourishing on its own, the model has credited her mom for inspiring her through it all.
“I definitely gained a lot of interest from those experiences and especially being privileged enough to experience them at a young age,” Sunday explained to Elle Australia earlier this month. “My mum is someone who has always been so creative and my biggest inspiration in life. She’s a key part of everything I do.”
As for the best piece of “industry advice” Kidman has given her daughter, Sunday said: “Always be on time.”
“There’s always going to be something with an early call time that you don’t want to get up for, but it’s really important to be on time because it shows that you’re prepared and grateful to be there.”
Sunday’s sweet comments come on the heels of Kidman finalizing her divorce after 19 years of marriage in January.
Per their agreement, Sunday and her sister Faith will be with the Oscar winner 306 days of the year, and will see Urban, 58, “every other weekend.”
