Olivia Jade’s Reformation campaign pokes fun at college admissions scandal

Reformation often delivers a masterclass in buzzy advertising — and its latest college-themed drop is no exception.

The sustainable fashion label tapped Olivia Jade for its preppy fall campaign, lensed in a collegiate setting. And while the influencer models everything from cashmere sweaters to tailored separates, it’s a limited-edition crewneck emblazoned with the word “college” that’s really getting the internet talking.

“The kind of crew that suits her better,” Reformation quipped on Instagram Stories of the cheeky design.

The campaign comes over six years after Jade and her parents, Lori Laughlin and Mossimo Giannulli, were embroiled in the highly publicized college admissions scandal. (She and her sister, Isabella Rose, were famously accepted to USC as rowing recruits, despite having never participated in the sport.)

Instagram commenters immediately clocked the reference, with one calling the campaign, “The epitome of making lemonade out of lemons.”

“Whoever’s idea this was needs a raise,” a second netizen added, while a third joked that they immediately “ran to the comments.”

Reformation will be donating 100% of net proceeds from the style to YES Scholars, a non-profit that helps expand higher-education access for students from under-resourced communities.

The campaign, dubbed “Good Sport,” also sees Jade trading her shirt for a purse — and posing in nothing but the Frances Low Rise Relaxed Pant.

She’s also schooling us on fall layering, modeling chic looks including the brand’s Taylor Belted Denim Jacket and 95% recycled Cove Cashmere Oversized Crew.

“Since you’ve been studying Olivia’s outfits for a while, we figured it was time she gave everyone a lesson in dressing for sport,” the label wrote.
