Olympian Caitlyn Jenner Shares Photo of ‘Quiet Night’ in Tel Aviv Amid Iranian Conflict

Olympian Caitlyn Jenner is currently in Israel amid the ongoing unrest in the region.
“A ‘quiet’ night in Tel Aviv,” Jenner, 75, wrote via Instagram on Friday, June 13. “There is no place I’d rather be than with the brave people of Israel. God, please continue to shield and protect us.”
Jenner uploaded a photo of multiple missiles being fired across the city’s skyline and intercepted by the country’s missile defense system, known as the Iron Dome. She set her post to Pentatonix’s cover of “Hallelujah.”
Jenner had traveled to Tel Aviv to attend their annual Pride Month parade. Days earlier, the Israeli military launched airstrikes against Tehran amid the ongoing Middle Eastern conflict. Iran retaliated on Friday, launching ballistic missiles back at Israel. Reuters reported that most of the missiles were intercepted and there were no immediate casualties.
Several of Jenner’s celebrity friends hoped for the former Keeping Up With the Kardashians star’s safety.
“STAY SAFE CAITLYN,” Noa Tishby wrote via Instagram comment, a message echoed by TV host Dana Grotsky.
In a second social media post, Jenner prayed for peace.
“Yesterday in Jerusalem,” she captioned a photo of herself at the Western Wall. “My heart is with Israel now and forever. 🇮🇱 🇺🇸 Evil shall not prevail!”
The State of Israel’s official Instagram account replied, writing, “Caitlyn, thank you for your true friendship and for standing strong with the people of Israel! 🇮🇱❤️.”
Caitlyn’s daughter Kylie Jenner was initially wary about her parent’s safety. (Caitlyn, who is transgender, shares Kylie and her sister Kendall Jenner with ex-wife Kris Jenner.)
“She was like, ‘Oh my God, you’re going to Israel?’” Caitlyn recalled to journalist Liron Namam. “I said, ‘Yeah, I’m halfway there right now,’ and she goes, ‘You be safe and this and that.’ I said, ‘Don’t you worry, I will be safe. They’re going to take good care of me.’”
Caitlyn, who is also the parent of four older children, further noted to reporters that she didn’t inform her offspring about her travel plans to attend Pride overseas.
“Every time I have talked to someone about Israel and that they have the second biggest Pride event in the world, everyone is just shocked,” she said, before joking, “Honestly, I think you have a marketing problem.”
None of Caitlyn’s children have publicly addressed her current whereabouts.
Caitlyn has also been documenting her trip via social media.
“What a special place,” she wrote via Instagram on Wednesday, June 11. “I’m here to stand with those who believe in hope, not hate.”
