Ozzy Osbourne Spent Time with Daughter Kelly and Grandson Sidney in a Video Shared 2 Days Before His Death

Ozzy Osbourne spent time with his loved ones just before his death.

In a video that was shared to daughter Kelly Osbourne’s Instagram Stories on Sunday, July 20, just two days before his death, the late musician could be seen sitting with his daughter and grandson Sidney, per TMZ.

In the clip, Kelly, 40, panned the video to show her son playing with a tablet before showing her dad. Ozzy wore black Apple AirPod Maxes and was working on his own tablet before looking up and saying, “Is that me?”

Kelly then asked Ozzy to say good morning to her followers, which he then did.

Earlier this week on Tuesday, July 22, news broke that Ozzy had died at 76.

“It is with more sadness than mere words can convey that we have to report that our beloved Ozzy Osbourne has passed away this morning,” the Osbourne family told PEOPLE in a statement. “He was with his family and surrounded by love. We ask everyone to respect our family privacy at this time.”

In January 2020, Ozzy revealed that he’d been diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease, a nervous system disorder that affects movement. At the time, he said, “It’s not a death sentence.”

Despite numerous health challenges over the years, in February 2025, Osbourne announced a farewell Black Sabbath concert in his hometown of Birmingham, England. Taking place on July 5, it would be his final onstage performance and his first in 20 years with the band that made him a star.

Ozzy had a close relationship with his grandson Sidney. Back in May, Kelly spoke with PEOPLE and shared that her 2-year-old is “best friends” with the rock legend.

“Oh my God, they’re best friends,” Kelly said of her son and her dad. “So, favorite time of the day is nighttime because [Sidney] leaves me and gets in bed with my mom and dad because I’m staying in their house right now while my house is getting ready.”

“And he goes and gets in bed with them and they have cartoon time together and it is the sweetest thing ever. I have to literally rip him out,” she continued.

This past October, Ozzy was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame as a solo artist in its 2024 class. Kelly and her son supported her dad at the event.

In one sweet snap, the mother-son duo could be seen smiling together at the event. Kelly rocked a black lace, long-sleeve top, while her toddler showed out in a tiny black suit and bowtie.

Kelly’s brother, Jack, also shared an adorable family snap to his Instagram following their dad’s induction. In the elevator photo, the siblings could be seen posing with their little ones. Kelly held Sidney in her arms, while Jack’s older daughters — Pearl, 12, and Andy, 9 — smiled in front of their dad with their arms around one another.
