Paige DeSorbo exits ‘Summer House’ after 7 seasons: ‘It’s time for this chapter to close’
Paige DeSorbo will not be returning to the Hamptons this summer.
The fashion influencer, 32, announced Thursday that she has “made the decision not to return to ‘Summer House’” after seven seasons.
“Being part of this show has been one of the most rewarding chapters of my life – the friendships, the drama, the giggles. all unforgettable,” she wrote in an Instagram Story.
“You’ve seen me grow up over these last 7 summers. I’ll always be beyond grateful for the memories, the community, and the opportunities this wild ride has brought me. But like all good things (and some bad decisions), it’s time for this chapter to close.”
DeSorbo then thanked her “castmates, fans and [her] NBCU family.”
“I never could’ve imagined what this journey would turn into — and how many of you would be along for the ride. And you haven’t seen the last of me, I promise. So much more to do together, but for now you know you can always find me and Daphne in my bed,” she concluded, referencing her cat.
DeSorbo first entered the house during Season 3 with best friend Hannah Berner. And although the comedian left after two seasons, DeSorbo became a staple as a member of the Bedbug gang with Amanda Batula and Ciara Miller.
She went on to star in two seasons of the spin-off show, “Winter House,” before beginning to date Craig Conover in 2021, with whom she has since called it quits.
At the same time, she launched her “Giggly Squad” podcast with Berner during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Throughout the last couple of months, DeSorbo has been dropping hints about her fate in the Bravoverse.
In April, during an interview with Glamour, she mused about her eventual departure from the show.
“There’s an end date for me at some point. With the lifestyle of ‘Summer House’ specifically, I’m probably not fitting into the original show idea anymore,” she told the outlet.
“Whenever I see a comment that’s like, ‘She’s a little too old to be on this,’ I’m like, ‘Yeah, I kind of am.’”
Then, a month ago, Bravo fans noticed she had removed “Summer House” from her Instagram bio.
Her social media move also came on the heels of her and Berner debuting their own show on YouTube called “Hannah and Paige Try New Things.”
And just this week, the “How to Giggle” co-author announced she was launching a sleepwear line named after her cat, Daphne. The collection is set to drop online on June 10.
