Pamela Anderson’s producer addresses claims Meghan Markle ‘copied’ her with new Netflix show

Meghan Markle was accused of ripping off Pamela Anderson with her new Netflix show — and now the “Baywatch” alum’s collaborator is addressing the backlash.
Jesse Fawcett, the co-creator and executive producer of Anderson’s Flavour Network series, “Pamela’s Cooking With Love,” released a statement Monday, mere hours before “With Love, Meghan” premiered.
“We take pride in planting the first seeds — creating original, distinctive programming that audiences love — and it’s a compliment to see our work with Ms. Anderson resonate so strongly,” Fawcett told the Daily Mail.
Markle’s rep has yet to respond to Page Six’s request for comment.
In February, eagle-eyed fans called out similarities between the trailers for Anderson’s and the Duchess of Sussex’s shows.
The “Pamela’s Love With Cooking” teaser, which dropped in October 2024, opened with the actress in her garden and kitchen, as did Markle’s January sneak peek.
“I just have always wanted to take things to another level,” Anderson, 57, said in the preview for her show.
Three months later, Markle, 43, gushed, “I’ve always loved taking something pretty ordinary and elevating it.”
Some social media users likened the series’ names to each other, as well as the content, with both Anderson and Markle inviting friends and chefs over to try recipes and hosting techniques.
“Markle’s show is a straight copy of Pamela Anderson’s cooking and entertaining show,” one hater wrote on X last month.
Another pointed out that Markle wore a straw hat for her recent People cover story, as Anderson did covering Better Homes & Gardens last year.
Many, however, pointed out that most lifestyle cooking shows have features in common.
“Pamela’s Love of Cooking” debuted on Feb. 24, with “With Love, Meghan,” hitting Netflix on Tuesday.
Markle’s show, notably, postponed its original Jan. 15 release date amid the wildfires devastating California earlier this year.
The now-streaming project has received scathing reviews from critics across the pond calling it a “pointless … exercise in narcissism,” but Markle celebrated its success via Instagram Wednesday.
“For more recipes, fun, and reasons to ‘Mmmm’, check out the show — which in just 24 hours is already in the Top 10!” she wrote on her Story.
The “Suits” alum concluded her post by thanking fans “around the world who are tuning in.”
Markle’s show includes appearances from Mindy Kaling and more celebrity pals, as well as a cameo from husband Prince Harry.
The royal, 40, gushed in the finale about how “proud” he was of his wife.
