Paris Jackson ‘concerned’ Michael’s estate executors are taking advantage of fortune: docs
Paris Jackson is “concerned” that the executors of her dad Michael Jackson’s $464 million estate are taking advantage of the late pop star’s fortune.
In a new filing obtained by Page Six on Tuesday, the only daughter of the “Billie Jean” singer claimed “enormous sums of cash” remain uninvested by the estate’s co-executors, John Branca and John McClain.
Paris — who is the beneficiary of Michael’s estate alongside her brothers, Prince, 28, and Bigi, 23 — alleged in the filing that the pair haven’t made great business decisions that align with the best interests of the estate.
“Paris is increasingly concerned the Estate has become the vehicle for John Branca to enrich and aggrandize himself, rather than serve the beneficiaries’ best interests and steadfastly preserve her father’s legacy,” the filing read.
The “American Horror Story” actress, 27, claimed in the court docs that the executors garnered more than $10 million in compensation from the estate in 2021 alone.
That amount was “more than double the amount distributed to any beneficiary from the family allowance,” according to the filing.
Paris also claimed the executors’ total compensation was around $148.2 million just through the end of 2021, which “dwarfs any amount distributed to Paris or her siblings.”
In the filing, the “Let Down” singer claimed the executors are holding onto more than $464 million in cash, but due to “unproductive investments,” they have gained less than 0.1%
Had the money been invested properly, the estate could have generated $41 million in profits.
Paris also claimed in the docs that Branca and McClain’s decision to invest in “risky” entertainment projects — including the forthcoming “Michael” biopic, in which producer Branca cast A-list actor Miles Teller as himself.
“[The estate has] morphed into a private entertainment investment fund managed more for the benefit of Executors and their counsel than its beneficiaries,” Jackson claims in the filing.
A source close to the Jackson estate denied Paris’ claims, telling Page Six, “This is another misguided attempt by Paris Jackson’s attorneys to provide themselves cover.
“The fact is Paris Jackson’s lawyers lost their latest case against the Estate and have been ordered to pay the Estate’s attorneys’ fees,” the insider added.
“All the beneficiaries are well taken care of by the Estate. This is a weak attempt to change the narrative of their loss.”
Page Six has reached out to the Jackson estate for comment but did not immediately hear back.
In October, the executors claimed in a filing that Paris has received $65 million in benefits from Michael’s estate.
Last week, the “Sex Appeal” actress hit a major setback in the road in her legal feud against her late father’s estate.
A judge partially struck portions of Paris’ petition after finding that many of the singer’s legal claims targeted the estate’s own court filings, citing California’s anti-SLAPP statute, which shields much legal petitioning activity from retaliatory lawsuits.
A hearing in the case is set for January 2026.
