Prince Harry confirms King Charles ‘unfortunately’ too busy to see him during UK visit

Better luck next time.
Prince Harry confirmed Tuesday that King Charles III is too busy to meet with him during his visit back home this week.
“In response to the many inquiries and continued speculation on whether or not the duke will meet with his father while in the UK this week, it unfortunately will not be possible due to His Majesty’s full program,” a spokesperson for the Duke of Sussex shared in a statement to Page Six.
“The duke of course is understanding of his father’s diary of commitments and various other priorities and hopes to see him soon.”
Harry, 39, touched down in London Tuesday afternoon ahead of the 10th anniversary of the Invictus Games at St. Paul’s Cathedral on May 8. His wife, Meghan Markle, decided to remain in California instead of attending the celebratory milestone event.
Multiple sources told Page Six that the renegade royal had extended invitations to the event to his family as an olive branch, but no one took the bait.
No senior members of the royal family are expected to attend, as Kate Middleton is still undergoing treatment for cancer, and Harry remains largely estranged from her husband and his brother, Prince William.
The Prince of Wales, 41, and Harry have not spoken for more than a year in the wake of Harry’s bombshell memoir, “Spare,” in addition to claims that Charles, 75, and Middleton, 42, were the “racist” royals who asked what color Harry and Markle’s children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, would be.
The redheaded royal, who quit his duties in 2020 and moved to the US, has not been to London since a brief trip in February to visit his father upon learning that the reigning monarch also had been diagnosed with cancer.
Page Six previously reported that Harry met up with Charles at Clarence House for “a quick visit” that didn’t even last an hour.
Charles announced in April that he was resuming his public duties “after a period of treatment and recuperation following his recent cancer diagnosis.” Buckingham Palace shared a new photo of the king at the time that showed him looking well as he linked arms with his wife, Queen Camilla.
Charles ascended the throne in September 2022 upon his mother Queen Elizabeth II’s death and was coronated in May of the following year.
