Professor Green quietly splits from Netflix star fiancée and mum of his toddler Karima McAdams

Professor Green is reportedly a single man once again following his split from fiancée Karima McAdams last year.

The rapper, birth name Stephen Manderson, became a father for the first time in March 2021, when his then girlfriend Karima gave birth to their son Slimane Ray Manderson. Stephen popped the question to Netflix star Karima seven months on from welcoming their first child into the world together.

However, it seems things are all over for the once happy couple, five years on from their romance beginning. It’s reported Stephen – who was once married to Made In Chelsea star Millie Mackintosh – and model Karima quietly called time on their relationship at the end of last year, after encountering some issues.

Stephen, 40, often shares updates on his life with fans on Instagram, but Karima hasn’t featured on his main grid for several months now – with Karima notably absent from the Just Be Good to Green rapper’s Mother’s Day post last month. Marking the day on 10th March, Stephen shared a picture of his mother and his late father holding him as a baby.

He captioned the old snap: “Happy Mother’s Day mum. I haven’t thanked you nearly enough for your continued efforts and consistency throughout my life. We need more photos together. Happy Mother’s Day to all Mums and the various guises they come in – some dads are doing both jobs, in other circumstances it’s a grandmother, a sister, an aunty. But to everyone that’s there and who should be celebrated on this day; we see you.”

Source have now claimed the pair have officially split and are focusing on co-parenting their young son. “Stephen and Karima broke up some months ago now and are trying to move on with their lives,” the insider revealed to The Sun, adding: “They are both devoted parents to their little boy but as a couple, their relationship has run its course.”

Stephen, who has enjoyed a successful music career as Professor Green with hits like Lullaby, I Need You Tonight, and the chart-topping Read All About It, selling over three million records, has been observed living solo at his London abode, even hinting at his single life by mentioning ‘cooking for one’ on social media.

The estranged couple have vacationed separately and ceased posting pictures together since last summer, with their last joint appearance being at Wilderness Festival. Karima McAdams, known for her role in the Netflix series Deep State, recently took their son on a holiday by herself.

Writing on social media this week, Stephen mused about parenting and fatherhood as he shared a snap of his young son on Instagram. Captioning the snap of Slimane, the singer told his followers: “Oh you mad cause I’m… I was going to talk about how much joy this little guy brings me but then thought about what joy a positive relationship of any kind brings not just to those involved, but by sending happier versions of each person out into the world the positive impact it has on a grander scale…

“Think about the negative impact sending someone out into the world unhappily has – ‘murder is a good man on a bad day’ or whatever that saying is; we have a responsibility to each other to keep interactions as positive as possible and when raising a child to not burden him or her with the responsibility of our happiness.

“We also have a responsibility to manage our own happiness and completeness – nobody will ever complete me for I am already whole. Just some thoughts…”
