Queen Camilla awkwardly committed an etiquette no-no by asking “Gavin & Stacey” star Ruth Jones if she had lost weight during her trip to South Wales over the weekend.

The uncomfortable incident, which took place last Friday during the royal couple’s tour of Cyfarthfa Castle, was captured by a Daily Mail reporter and subsequently shared online.

“Haven’t you lost masses of weight?” Camilla can be seen asking the actress in the clip.

Jones appeared to take the comment in stride as she lightheartedly responded, “Yes, I have, thank you! I’ve lost a bit of weight!”

Jones is known for famously co-writing and co-starring alongside James Corden in “Gavin & Stacey,” which aired from 2007 to 2010.

The series additionally returned for Christmas specials in 2019 and 2024.

The BAFTA-winning actress, who made headlines after she dropped almost 60 pounds in 2011, previously attributed her weight loss to “aversion therapy.”

“I hate the word ‘struggled’ with my weight, but I have been in a battle with my weight all of my life. As long as I can remember. I can’t ever remember being slim,” Jones told “Table Manners” podcast hosts, singer Jessie Ware and her mother Lennie.

She went on to tell the pair that her hypnotist Paul McKenna successfully trained her to curb her diet.

The queen has been known to commit a social faux pas here and there.

In September, she appeared to shoo her daughter-in-law, Kate Middleton, out of her way during an awkward run-in with President Donald Trump and wife Melania.

The king and queen, 78, touched down in South Wales over the weekend as they celebrated Charles’ 77th birthday.

Charles’ celebration comes amid his cancer diagnosis.

In the most recent update regarding his health, Prince William revealed in October that “things are good.”

“Everything is progressing in the right way, which is all good news,” he told Eugene Levy in his appearance on the “Schitt’s Creek” star’s series, “The Reluctant Traveler.”
