Rachael Ray resurfaces for rare outing following string of ‘bizarre behavior’

Rachael Ray made a rare public appearance as fan concern grows due to her recent odd behavior.
The chef wore a brown leather bomber jacket matched with a colorful vest and brown corduroy pants as she arrived for a taping of “The Drew Barrymore Show” on Wednesday.
She accessorized with a pair of eyeglasses with transparent frames, and carried a blue crocodile print handbag.
The TV personality, 57, styled her long, brown hair straight around her shoulders and appeared subdued while entering the show’s CBS studio in New York City. Ray finished the look with a pair of black and gold combat style shoes.
Ray is set to be on Friday’s episode of the CBS talk show where she will be in the kitchen with the “Charlie’s Angel” star, 50, sharing a recipe.
The “My Year in Meals” author sparked concern amongst her fans in July when she exhibited “bizarre behavior” at an event for her then newly-released gin line.
Dozens of fans waited in line for her at the Broadway Spirits store in the summer heat after paying $50 just for the chef to arrive “20 minutes late,” according to the Daily Mail.
An insider told the outlet that something “seemed off” with the Food Network alum as she showed “bizarre behavior” while greeting fans and handing out bottles of her gin and baseball caps.
“She got oddly close to some people, hugging them in a way that seemed overly familiar as she posed for photos,” the source added. The insider also compared Ray’s behavior to the way Barrymore gets touchy with the guests on her show.
After making her fans wait in the 80-degree weather and showing up late, Ray allegedly wrapped up the meet-and-greet “in less than an hour.”
Back in May, she alarmed fans with a now viral cooking video where she “slurred” her words and admitted to having had “a couple of bad falls.”
Despite the video’s emotional message about overcoming poverty when she was younger, fans were focused on Ray’s demeanor and expressed their concern in the comments.
“I don’t recognize Rachel [sic] 😮,” one wrote, while another added, “Rachel [sic]. Are you okay? You don’t look well.”
The New York born cook rose to fame with her down-to-earth “30 Minute Meals” cooking show on the Food Network, which debuted in 2001. Ray’s approachable style and laid back personality led to a nationally syndicated show, “Rachael Ray,” in 2006.
In 2005, she also launched lifestyle magazine Every Day with Rachael Ray.
