Ray J claims he won’t live past 2027 due to health concerns
Ray J is claiming following a long string of health concerns that he does not have much longer to live, predicting he will be dead next year.
“2027 is definitely a wrap for me,” he stated, in a video clip shared to social media Tuesday night. “That’s what they say.”
As a friend in the video protested, “Don’t say that…f–k the doctor,” Ray shook his head and puts his face in his hands.
“I shouldn’t have went this hard, bro,” he noted, adding, “My babymama gonna be straight, my kids gonna be straight, if they wanna spend all the money, they can spend it. I did my part here.”
“And damn, when it’s all done, burn me, don’t bury me,” he directed.
The singer then gave a shoutout to his parents, who he said were taking him for a medical checkup the next day, and also to sister, R&B star Brandy, whom he said “paid my bills for me for the rest of the year.”
Ray J (real name William Raymond Norwood Jr.), 45, gave an update on his health Sunday, sharing in another social media video that he “almost died.”
“My heart is only beating like 25 percent, but as long as I stay focused and stay on the right path, then everything will be all right, so thank you for all your prayers,” he explained.
A rep for Ray J did not immediately return Page Six’s request for comment.
This comes on the heels of news earlier this month that he’d been suffering yet another healh scare. A source close to the singer told TMZ on Jan. 7 that after experiencing “heart pains,” the “Love & Hip Hop” personality was admitted to a hospital with a severe case of pneumonia, where doctors ordered an echocardiogram and X-rays.
The outlet previously reported in October 2021 that the “One Wish” hitmaker had been hospitalized in Miami with the same illness.
It has been a tumultuous period of late for the singer overall.
After making a claim he was building a racketeering case with the feds against Kim Kardashian and Kris Jenner in September — a claim which no other information substantiates — the reality TV stars hit back by suing him for defamation, blasting his “blatantly false” allegations and “calculated falsehoods” in court documents obtained by Page Six.
Ray J, doubling down on his accusations that Jenner and Kardashian were behind the former couple’s infamous sex tape leak, then countersued the mother-daughter duo and accused them of lying for decades about the 2007 video.
Kardashian and Jenner’s lawyer, Alex Spiro, called the move “frivolous” in a November statement to Page Six.
In December, Ray J was arrested after allegedly brandishing a gun on estranged wife Princess Love and threatening to shoot a man in a Thanksgiving livestream.
Princess Love — with whom Ray J shares two children — filed for divorce from him for the fourth time in February 2024.
