Rebel Wilson Says She’ll Never Work with Sacha Baron Cohen Again — Even for $50M
Rebel Wilson said she will never be on a movie set with Sacha Baron Cohen again.
The 44-year-old actress played a game of “Plead the Fifth” on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen on April 8, and revealed that no sum of money — not even a whopping $50 million — could convince her to work with Baron Cohen, 52, again.
In her newly released memoir, Rebel Rising, Wilson wrote about her experience on the set of 2016’s The Brothers Grimsby with Baron Cohen, who co-wrote, produced and starred in the film alongside her, calling him an “a–hole.”
When Cohen, 55, asked Wilson, “How much money would it take for you to work with Sacha Baron Cohen again?” on WWHL, the Pitch Perfect star reaffirmed that “no money ever” could convince her to do so.
“I have, now, a no A-holes policy with work,” she said, before continuing to shut down the idea despite Cohen throwing out amounts of money, from $20 to $30 million.
His final offer was a staggering “$50 million to do a film with Sacha Baron Cohen?” However, Wilson stayed firm.
“No. No way,” she affirmed.
In her new memoir Rebel Rising, Wilson writes that she felt harassed and humililated by Baron Cohen her on the set of the 2016 movie The Brothers Grimsby. Baron Cohen vehemently denied the allegations.
A rep for Baron Cohen told PEOPLE, “While we appreciate the importance of speaking out, these demonstrably false claims are directly contradicted by extensive detailed evidence, including contemporaneous documents, film footage and eyewitness accounts from those present before, during and after the production of The Brothers Grimsby.”

In the end, Wilson writes, “The movie bombed, which to me was karma enough. I’m not about canceling anybody and that’s not my motivation for sharing this story. I’m sharing my story now because the more women talk about things like this, hopefully the less it happens.”
