Reese Witherspoon goes full Elle Woods in a pink skirt suit to announce new ‘Legally Blonde’ prequel

The bend and snap is back.

Reese Witherspoon channeled one of her most beloved characters at the Amazon Upfront 2024 in NYC Tuesday, rocking a very Elle Woods-inspired pink skirt suit as she helped announce the streamer’s new “Legally Blonde” prequel series, “Elle.”

“Before she became the most famous Gemini vegetarian to graduate from Harvard Law, she was just a regular ‘90s high school girl. And all of you are going to get to know her, next year on @primevideo. I’M SO EXCITED!” the actress captioned an Instagram Reel teasing the project.

“Something pink is coming,” the video reads as Witherspoon, 48, changes into a pink tweed Dolce & Gabbana blazer ($2,995) and matching miniskirt ($895).

In the clip — which is set to “Perfect Day” from “Legally Blonde” — the “Election” star is handed a pink stack of papers titled “TOP SECRET SCRIPT,” and naturally, they’re “scented,” just like Elle’s resume.

She then invites fans to “go back in time to meet the young Elle Woods” as a clip of Witherspoon standing on stage with the word “ELLE” in giant letters behind her flashes on the screen.

The “Morning Show” actress — who recently wowed on the red carpet with lookalike daughter Ava Phillippe, 24, at a Tiffany & Co. event — even does the iconic bend and snap move in her pale pink Louboutin heels and clutches a tiny chihuahua just like Elle’s dog, Bruiser Woods.

“Elle” will be produced by Witherspoon’s Hello Sunshine media company along with Amazon MGM Studios, with the actress serving as an executive producer.

Naturally, “Legally Blonde” fans went wild for the news, like AnnaSophia Robb, who wrote, “I’m FREAKING OUT!! Omg!!!!” and Zooey Deschanel, who commented, “Omg yay!!!”

“I went into legal because of this character. I love that this is coming back 💕,” a fan added, while Karlie Kloss wrote, “Yesssss 💕🙌💖.”

Several others wondered if Witherspoon’s doppelganger daughter might step into Elle’s pink heels, like an Instagram user who commented, “Please tell me Ava is playing young Elle Woods!!!”

While “Elle” doesn’t premiere until 2025, we anticipate a very pink year ahead.
