Amanda Frances is rocking the boat on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.
During the Thursday, Jan. 8, episode of the Bravo hit, the season 15 newcomer, 40, joined her fellow castmates for dinner during their group trip to Sedona, Ariz. As the women admired the table adorned with crystals, Amanda told the group she’s “spent $10,000 on crystals in one sitting before.”
In a confessional, Erika Jayne, 54, poked fun at Amanda’s one-upping by joking she has “a friend who spent more than $100,000 on crystals…and they’re bigger…and there are only two of them in the world.”
Jennifer Tilly, 67, said in a confessional of her own that she wasn’t impressed by Amanda’s admission.
“Crystals are supposed to be a spiritual entity or something that helps enhance your life, so to say I spent $10,000 on crystals seemed a little bit… I’m looking for a better word than crass,” she said.
Earlier in the episode, Amanda, a life and money coach, joined Jennifer and Sutton Stracke, 54, for dinner at Kathy Hilton’s house. After dinner, Sutton said in a confessional that she’s “starting to notice Amanda might be the kind of person that will one up or measure up.”
“She’s got to say ‘I have that too’ or ‘I do that too,'” she explained.
At the Sedona dinner, Sutton told the women, which also included Kyle Richards, 56, Dorit Kemsley, 49, Bozoma “Boz” Saint John, 48, and Rachel Zoe, 54, that her goal for the trip was to “build good relationships.”
“I think for the five years that I’ve known y’all, a lot of my insecurities have gotten in the way of how I interact with all of you,” she said, adding in a confessional that she didn’t feel “pretty enough” or “cool enough” in the group. “Looking back, that was probably something I created in my own head.”
Sutton told the group she would like “to put that in the past and introduce you to Sutton Brown.” (Brown is Sutton’s maiden name; She divorced ex Christian Stracke in 2016.)
“Sutton Brown, she’s a fun girl, and she’s a good friend,” she said. “I want to be that with y’all.”
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills airs Thursdays at 8 p.m. ET on Bravo. Episodes will be available to stream the next day on Peacock.
