RHOBH’s Amanda Francis Reveals Where She Stands With Dorit Kemsley After ‘Aggressive’ Confrontation (Exclusive)
Don’t expect things between Dorit Kemsley and Bravo newbie Amanda Frances to get better after tonight’s Real Housewives of Beverly Hills episode.
“We don’t recover,” Amanda, 41, told Us Weekly exclusively ahead of the Thursday, January 22, episode of RHOBH. “And the thing is, we could have.”
This week’s episode of RHOBH season 15 shows the women attending a dinner at new Housewife Rachel Zoe’s house. Dorit confronts Amanda about some comments she heard. (Amanda previously expressed concern about how Dorit was speaking publicly about estranged husband PK Kemsley amid their divorce.)
Amanda told the group that she was “holding on by a thread” because it was the three-year anniversary of her son Zion’s death. Amanda previously revealed that she and fiancé Eddie Tsivislavsky prematurely welcomed twins in 2022. Their son Zion died in Amanda’s arms at five days old while his brother, Canaan, survived following a stay in the NICU.
However, that didn’t stop Dorit from asking for clarification from her costar.
“For me, an apology and hearing about what was going on for her and where she was in her divorce situation, and me explaining what it was to have twins and lose a child … it could have been a get to know each other moment,” Amanda explained to Us. “It could have been bonding. We could have repaired. We could have recovered.”
Amanda teased that as the season continues, she tries to form a friendship with Dorit — but things don’t work out.
“Viewers will see me in future episodes, try very hard to just sit down with her and work it out,” Amanda told Us. “The woman was very committed and devoted to only talking to me if it could be a loud dinner table spectacle kind of thing.”
Amanda noted that it “still feels completely unnecessary” for Dorit to hash out their issues in such a public manner.
In her confessional during Thursday’s episode, Amanda claimed Dorit was “accusatory” and had a “very attacking style of energy.” A preview for next week’s RHOBH episode also showed Amanda claiming that Dorit “verbally accosted” her at the dinner.
Amanda doubled down on these claims during her conversation with Us.
“It felt very aggressive to me in that moment, and it felt out of nowhere. Is the average person going to consider that a verbal accosting or whatever? I don’t know, maybe not,” Amanda said. “But I don’t know that anyone gets to tell me how to feel or experience things on that day.”
She added, “I think the minute I told her what the day was, it should have been, ‘I’m so sorry I had no idea.’ Her thing is going to be that she didn’t know, and my thing is going to be that I told her.”
Amanda claimed that she only should have had to mention her late son “once” at the dinner table before Dorit dropped the confrontation.
“When it should have been, like, let’s talk about something else,” she said.
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills airs on Bravo Thursdays at 8 p.m. ET and streams the next day on Peacock.
