RHOM’s Kiki Barth Says She Received Death Threats From Her Extended Family: ‘Scared for My Life’

The Real Housewives of Miami star Kiki Barth is opening up about her familial struggles.
“We have this thing that was happening where a lot of Haitians [and] a lot of Mexicans were coming because [then-president Joe] Biden made it easier,” Kiki, 36, said on the Wednesday, August 13, episode of RHOM, discussing United States immigration policies. “If you have family members in those countries, you can just do a paper and you can be a support.”
Kiki, who originally hails from Haiti, offered to support some of her relatives’ immigration plans since she has “a good job.”
“[I thought], ‘I’m going to help as many as I can,” she told costar Alexis Nepola. “I was going to bring a few of my cousins, [who] I knew had no hope. But, the minute you start bringing one, you start bringing two and everybody’s like, ‘What about me? What about me?’”
She tearfully added, “I feel, at that point, it’s so many and I can’t. When they come here, you have to be able to support them if medical things happen [or] anything happens. You gotta be smart, you can’t help everybody.”
As a result, Kiki alleged that she ended up receiving “literally death threats” from family members whom she hasn’t been able to sponsor in the country.
“I had to move from my place within two weeks,” she said, wiping away tears. “So, I’ve been just fighting mentally. I was so scared for my life, you don’t understand.”
Kiki further noted in a confessional that she often “gives everything [she] has” to her family.
“You can only do so much, and then you get attacked,” she added. “How do you fight this? You just can only pray and pray, but every day is a struggle.”
Kiki joined RHOM in season 4 as a “friend of” cast member Guerdy Abraira, also balancing her career as a model and humanitarian with single parenthood. She shares son Shamar, 18, and daughter Summer, 5, with past partners.
“I’ve been on my own since I was 15. Got kicked out on the street. You all have this beautiful life, and I worked hard to get here, too,” Kiki told her costars during 2023’s season 6. “I just want people to listen to me. No one ever cared to even ask me one question. ‘Kiki, what’s going on with your life?’ … I have two kids and no man helping me.”
Throughout the currently airing season 7, Kiki has worked to maintain her friendship with the other Housewives while coming to terms with her changing familial dynamics.
The Real Housewives of Miami airs on Bravo Wednesdays at 9 p.m. ET.
