‘RHOP’ star Wendy Osefo breaks social media silence after fraud arrest

Dr. Wendy Osefo has broken her social media silence after she and her husband, Edward “Eddie” Osefo, were arrested on charges of fraud.
The “Real Housewives of Potomac” star took to Instagram Sunday to post two photos of herself modeling a long black dress featuring a plunging neckline.
“And through it all, GOD remains faithful,” she captioned the pictures.
“Thank you for the outpouring of love, support, and prayers for myself and most importantly my family during this time. We are forever grateful🙏🏾.”
Wendy concluded her message by asking fans to “tune into @bravotv tonight for a new episode” of the reality show.
Fans were quick to uplift the mother of three, commenting things like, “Period Wendy!! Keep shining! You aint going nowhere!! 👏🏾,” “❤️❤️❤️ love you friend and always praying with and for you” and “My Seeesta said 🗣️ ANYWAYS! 😭❤️.”
On his own Instagram page, Eddie uploaded a family portrait and captioned it, “‘Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight.’ Proverbs 3:5-6.”
Wendy and Eddie, both 41, were arrested earlier this month and booked on numerous fraud charges. They spent one night at the Carroll County Detention Center in Maryland and were released the following day after posting a combined bail total of $100,000.
Wendy was indicted on 16 charges: seven felony counts of insurance fraud, eight misdemeanor counts of conspiracy to commit insurance fraud and one misdemeanor count of making a false statement to a police officer.
Eddie, for his part, was indicted on 18 charges: nine felony counts of insurance fraud, eight misdemeanor counts of conspiracy to commit insurance fraud and one misdemeanor count of making a false statement to a police officer.
The charges stem from a home burglary the couple reported in April 2024. At the time, they claimed Wendy’s jewelry and designer bags were stolen while they were in Jamaica on a family vacation with their three young children.
Eddie went on to file claims with two different insurance companies, with both he and Wendy allegedly signing statements claiming $450,000 in property loss and $2,500 in property damage.
During their investigation, authorities began to cast doubt on the validity of the burglary itself — a feeling the Osefos’ neighbors allegedly felt instantly.
Additionally, Wendy was photographed wearing one of the allegedly stolen rings shortly after the reported theft.
Moreover, the investigation determined that numerous items she and Eddie claimed were stolen had been returned for a full refund prior to the alleged burglary.
Authorities also discovered that the pair was “burdened by substantial debt” at the time.
Hours after their arrests made headlines, the duo’s rep told Page Six in a statement that they were “back home safely with their family and in good spirits.”
Their rep added that they were looking “forward to their day in court.”
Following the news, sleuths noticed that Wendy made a Bonnie and Clyde reference on Instagram the day she and Eddie reported the alleged burglary.
