Richard Gere, 76, filmed a romantic scene with his much-younger co-star, 28-year-old Diana Silvers, on the set of “Asymmetry” in New York City Wednesday.

The actors cozied up to each other on a bench in a park while eating ice cream, as seen in photos obtained by Page Six.

For the scene, Gere wore a button-down shirt with gray pants and brown shoes.

Silvers, meanwhile, wore a long-sleeved red-knit shirt with a khaki skirt and black heels. She also had a headband on and a black purse by her side.

Gere and Silvers have been spotted filming “Asymmetry” in NYC multiple times in the last several weeks.

On July 16, Gere wrapped his arm around Silver as they looked engrossed in a deep conversation for another scene on a park bench.

Earlier that week, they were seen in character holding hands while walking through the streets of the Big Apple.

At one point, the “Pretty Woman” actor put his arm around Silvers’ waist, pulling her in close as she draped her arm across his shoulders.

The film is based on Lisa Halliday’s 2018 critically acclaimed novel of the same name.

The book is split into three parts — the first section, “Folly,” tells the story of Alice, who is described as “a young American editor,” and follows “her relationship with the famous and much older writer Ezra Blazer,” reads the book synopsis.

“A tender and exquisite account of an unexpected romance that takes place in New York during the early years of the Iraq War, Folly also suggests an aspiring novelist’s coming-of-age,” the description adds.

The film appears to focus solely on Alice and Ezra’s fictional love story, as its logline notes that it “tells the story of a young editorial assistant in New York, Alice (Silvers), who comes upon world-renowned 70-year-old author Ezra (Gere) in Central Park one day.”

The synopsis continues: “Their one moment of eye contact sparks a connection that leads them both down a life-changing rabbit hole, where they create a private world just for two.”

Oscar winner Edward Zwick worked on the screenplay with Halliday and Marshall Herskovitz, reports Deadline. Zwick is also attached to direct and produce.

Gere has a real-life age-gap love story with wife Alejandra Silva, 43.

The couple began dating in 2014 before tying the knot in 2018. They share sons Alexander, 7, and James, 6.

Gere and his wife relocated to her native country, Spain, in 2024, but they returned to the US to celebrate the 4th of July in NYC before Gere started shooting “Asymmetry.”
