Robert Carradine’s final photos revealed before his tragic death at 71
Robert Carradine was active on Instagram — and recording episodes of his podcast — in the days leading up to his heartbreaking death.
The late actor promoted “Party Nerds Pop-Cast” interviews with Christopher Atkins and Jesse Hutch on social media earlier this month — and shared a group shot with guest Don Wilson on Feb. 3.
“Don Wilson shared a lot of cool stories on this week’s episode!” he told his followers at the time.
The “Lizzie McGuire” alum posted a photo of himself on a couch with Wilson, as well as a smiling snap alongside co-host Richard Gabai.
The podcast began in July 2025, and Gabai, 62, posted a caption-less photo to honor Carradine on his Story Monday, hours after news broke of the “Revenge of the Nerds” star’s passing.
Carradine’s final public appearance was in November 2025 when he walked the “3 Killer Pigs” red carpet.
Carradine suited up for the event, pairing a charcoal blazer with an all-black ensemble.
The former Disney Channel star’s family broke the news of his passing with “profound sadness” on Monday with a statement to Deadline.
“In a world that can feel so dark, Bobby was always a beacon of light to everyone around him,” Carradine’s loved ones wrote.
“We are bereft at the loss of this beautiful soul and want to acknowledge Bobby’s valiant struggle against his nearly two-decade battle with bipolar disorder,” they added.
“We hope his journey can shine a light and encourage addressing the stigma that attaches to mental illness,” the statement concluded.
Social media tributes for Carradine have been pouring in from both his former co-stars and his famous family members.
“Goonies” alum Martha Plimpton — Carradine’s niece — gushed that her “dear, and loving, and nonjudgmental” uncle was full of “inherent kindness” and she will “miss [him] enormously.”
As for Hilary Duff, who played Carradine’s daughter on “Lizzie McGuire” for two seasons, wrote, “This one hurts. It’s really hard to face this reality about an old friend.”
