Rosie O’Donnell’s troubled daughter, Chelsea, sentenced to prison after violating parole in drug case
Rosie O’Donnell’s troubled daughter, Chelsea O’Donnell, has been sentenced to prison after violating her parole in her 2024 drug case.
A Wisconsin judge ordered Chelsea to serve time behind bars after revoking her probation on Oct. 22, Page Six confirmed.
Chelsea was in violation due to sexual assault allegations, an official from the Marinette County Treatment Drug Court Team told Us Weekly, which was first to report the news.
The official also claimed Chelsea showed minimal advancement in the treatment drug program.
“The facts surrounding this request have been staffed with the Marinette County Treatment Drug Court Team and have been deemed sufficient grounds to warrant termination from the Marinette County Treatment Drug Court Program,” the filing stated, per Us Weekly.
It is unclear how long Chelsea has been sentenced to serve.
Following news of her sentencing, Rosie took to Instagram to ask for prayers “as she faces a scary future” while sharing a photo of Chelsea “before addiction took over her life.”
Page Six has reached out to Wisconsin Assistant State Public Defender Gabrielle Beranek, the Marinette County Treatment Drug Court Team and the Wisconsin Department of Corrections for comment but did not immediately hear back.
Chelsea has had several run-ins with the law throughout the years. In fact, in 2024, she was arrested a total of three times.
In September 2024, the 28-year-old was detained regarding a domestic dispute involving her boyfriend, Jacob Nelund, at their home.
However, according to police reports, officers discovered a meth pipe allegedly left within her son’s reach, “a black and silver digital scale, some used gem bags with white residue, and a sharps container that had more used and unused hypodermic needles.”
A month later, Chelsea was arrested again when she allegedly tried to throw a meth pipe out the window of her car after being pulled over at a traffic stop.
After the multiple arrests, Chelsea was sentenced to six years of probation.
Additionally, the troubled young woman has had an estranged relationship with Rosie, who adopted Chelsea as a baby in 1997, for most of her adult years.
Due to their continued issues, Chelsea filed to change her last name from Rosie, 63, in retaliation for being cut from the “View” alum’s $80 million will.
Chelsea filed the paperwork in January, stating that she wished to go by her birth mother Deanna Micoley’s maiden name, Neuens.
