Sam Hunt and Wife Hannah Walk First Red Carpet Together Since Their Reconciliation at CMT Awards 2024

Sam Hunt and Hannah Lee Fowler were all smiles at the 2024 CMT Awards.

The couple, who briefly split in 2022, walked the red carpet together for the first time since their reconciliation. Hunt, 39, looked dapper in a brown plaid suit and dress shirt, while Fowler, 35, opted for a stunning black lace gown. The mom of two wrapped her hand around her husband’s arm in photos as they both smiled for the cameras.

In February 2022 Fowler filed for divorce from Hunt, citing his adultery and revealing she was pregnant in papers obtained by PEOPLE at the time. In April of the same year, she called off the divorce shortly before the birth of the couple’s first child, daughter Lucy Louise, that May. Since then, the couple has welcomed a second child, son Lowry Lee, who was born in October 2023.

Hunt’s newest song, “Locked Up” — which he performed at the CMT Awards on Sunday night — is in part an ode to Fowler and how she’s stood by him through every rough patch, including his 2019 DUI arrest. In the song, he sings about his wife, “When you picked up my pieces and my only call/I knew you were in, baby, in for the long haul.”

During a September 2022 appearance on Audacy’s Katie & Company podcast, the country singer credited fatherhood for helping him “find a sense of purpose.”

“[Fatherhood] has given me such a sense of purpose — at home and out on the road. A new appreciation for life in general,” he said. “I think I leveled up overnight, evolved 10 or 20 years overnight.”

After Fowler called off her petition for divorce in 2022, a source close to the couple told PEOPLE, “They are doing their best every day. Sam and his wife are continually looking forward to the next chapter. He’s just thinking about his family and what’s to come.”
