Savannah Chrisley is missing her dad Todd Chrisley on his birthday.

On Sunday, April 6, the Chrisley Knows Best patriarch turned 56. To mark the occasion, Savannah, 27, shared an emotional post on Instagram, reflecting on the three years the father-daughter pair have spent apart amid his imprisonment.

Alongside a slideshow of photos and video clips — both recent and from throughout the years — Savannah wrote: “Here’s to another trip around the sun, Daddy…😭.”

“It’s so hard to believe this is the third birthday we’ve spent apart,” she continued. “Every year that passes without you home feels like another piece of my heart is missing. I can’t help but think back to all the birthday adventures we’ve shared over the years…every laugh, every hug, every surprise. Celebrating you has always been one of my life’s greatest joys…one of my greatest adventures.”

She went on to lament the lost time with her father while he’s not at home.

“Life moves so quickly, and yet these past three years have felt frozen in time. You’re three years older since you left home…and those are three years we’ve lost,” she wrote. “Three years of memories we’ll never get to make. Three years of heartbreak that time can never give back.”

Savannah concluded her post by vowing to her dad that she “will NEVER stop fighting” for him.

“I will NEVER stop telling the world who you are and what you mean to us. You are so much more than the walls that surround you. You are strength. You are love. You are home. And you ARE my best friend,” she wrote, adding, “I love you to the moon and back. And always remember… You are my sunshine☀️.”

Todd’s 28-year-old son Chase Chrisley also shared a birthday post on Instagram in his honor on Sunday.

Alongside a childhood snapshot of the duo, he wrote: “Happy birthday dad, I love you so much and i know that we will be together soon! You’ve taught me so much, how to be a man, father, husband and friend. I pray God brings us all back together soon we can celebrate together!!! You’re the rock of the family and we need our rock back!! I love you.”

In January 2023, Todd and his wife, Julie Chrisley, reported to prison to serve a combined 19-year sentence, which has since been reduced by nearly two years each.

Todd, who was originally sentenced to 12 years for fraud and tax evasion charges, attempted to appeal his case in 2024 but was denied. Although his wife’s appeal was initially granted, a judge later upheld her sentence.

Earlier this year, their daughter Savannah told PEOPLE that her family didn’t expect her parents to be convicted. “We had lawyers who had told us it was going to end differently,” she recalled.

“We stood in the truth, and we stood in what we knew to be the truth,” she continued. “We saw the corruption in Fulton County. We saw how the judge handled the case. We just saw all of it and we’re like, ‘There’s no way. There’s no way it’s going to end this way.’ But, it did.”

Savannah, who is currently caring for younger siblings Grayson, 18, and Chloe, 12, amid Todd and Julie’s absence, is working with her parents’ attorney to obtain a pardon for Todd and Julie, 52, through President Donald Trump’s administration.

“I know that I am going through the proper channels to do so,” she shared. “And, I’m going to bring as much awareness to it as possible because these things should not happen.”
