Scheana Shay reacts to ‘annoyed’ John Mayer reportedly denying their hookup

Scheana Shay insists her word is as “Good as Gold.”

The “Vanderpump Rules” star clapped back at a report claiming John Mayer is denying the hookup she hinted at in a recent episode of the Bravo reality show.

“I mean, I’m sure John doesn’t love being a storyline on ‘VPR,’” Shay, 38, told her “Scheananigans” podcast listeners Friday.

“But where did he deny this?” she asked. “Because I’m pretty sure it was the Sun who made that claim. It looks like they just made this up.”

The reality star pointed out that “there weren’t quotes from John [and] there weren’t quotes from his team” in the story published on March 26.

“I wouldn’t believe anything that they have to say, so there’s that.”

Shay subsequently brought up a 2009 Star magazine article calling her Mayer’s “new gal” that has resurfaced on social media, noting that “nothing was ever denied then.”

While the former SURver did not name the Grammy winner, 46, in her March 19 TV reveal, she heavily implied that she had an orgy with him.

“Once upon a time, my body was a wonderland, I’ll say that,” she said, referencing one of Mayer’s hit songs.

Shay, who is now married to Brock Davies, first spoke about the alleged hookup in 2020.

The “One More Time” singer claimed that she and “The Hills” alum Stacie Adams “had a little throuple going on” with Mayer.

Shay’s loose lips have left the singer “annoyed,” according to the Sun’s report, which further claimed he “wants nothing to do with her.”

A source told the outlet that “John has told several people close to him that he never hooked up with Scheana.”

Lisa Vanderpump, for her part, reacted to Shay’s confession during a recent interview with Page Six, clapping her hands and asking, “What defines an orgy? How many people have to be in an orgy?”
