‘Secret Lives of Mormon Wives’ star Taylor Frankie Paul is the next ‘Bachelorette’
“Secret Lives of Mormon Wives” star Taylor Frankie Paul is looking for love on “The Bachelorette.”
The 31-year-old was revealed to be the franchise’s Season 22 lead on Wednesday’s “Call Her Daddy” episode.
The announcement came as a surprise considering Paul is not only a Hulu star, but the forthcoming season was slated to be another rendition of “The Bachelor.”
The network gushed in a press release that the “Utah native is ready to trade headline-making heartbreak for hometown dates as she begins making her mark on Bachelor Nation.”
The statement continued, “[Paul] is the breakout star of ‘The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives,’ captivating millions with her raw, unapologetic storytelling. Off-screen, she’s a TikTok powerhouse whose comedic, heartwarming and bitingly honest content has earned her a massive following.”
It highlighted her as a “single mother of three,” as the reality star shares daughter Indy, 8, and son Ocean, 5, with ex-husband Tate Paul and son Ever, 1, with ex-boyfriend Dakota Mortensen.
Paul, notably, will be the second “Bachelorette” lead to have children prior to the show, with Emily Maynard being the first in 2012.
“[Paul] shares the highs and lows of her life with unfiltered candor,” the press release concluded. “With humor, resilience and a fearless openness, she inspires others to embrace life’s chaos and own their story.”
Alex Cooper teased the “Call Her Daddy” reveal with an Instagram upload Tuesday.
“Change of plans,” the podcast host, 31, captioned the video, which showed Cooper cutting into a cake to reveal pink frosting.
Paul opened up to listeners about her dating preferences, including her future match having children not being a “dealbreaker at all.”
While the man needs to be willing to move to Utah, she did clarify that it is not necessary for them to share her Mormon faith.
“I do preferably want someone that does believe in God,” the TikTok star noted. “Because when you’re raising children it can be confusing when one does and one doesn’t. … But also, I’m up for hearing their side.”
Paul added, “I don’t care what religion you are. How do you treat other people?”
She shot to fame last year when “Secret Lives of Mormon Wives” premiered, with Paul starring alongside Jen Affleck, Whitney Leavitt and more MomTok members.
The premiere date for Paul’s season of “The Bachelorette” has yet to be revealed.
