Sharon Stone claims she was ‘unexpectedly’ cut from cast of Blake Lively movie ‘Another Simple Favor’

Sharon Stone claimed she was cast and then dropped from “Another Simple Favor” without warning.

The “Casino” star revealed Thursday that she was supposed to star in the Paul Feig-directed thriller — the sequel to 2018’s “A Simple Favor” — alongside Blake Lively and Anna Kendrick but was abruptly let go.

“I LOVED being cast and removed from my role unexpectedly for no reason at all LOVED it 👏👏👏👏,” she sarcastically commented on an E! News Instagram Reel about the project, which comes out May 1 on Amazon Prime Video.

It was never reported that Stone, 67, had joined the movie, which added Allison Janney and Michele Morrone to the cast after the success of the first film.

Reps for Stone, Feig and Amazon MGM Studios did not immediately respond to Page Six’s requests for comment.

Stone notably commented on a post about alleged tension between Lively, 37, and Kendrick, 39, which exploded after the movie’s world premiere at South by Southwest (SXSW).

When asked how she felt about reuniting with the “Gossip Girl” alum, the “Pitch Perfect” star shadily replied, “Oh, you know …”

Her curt response led fans to believe there may have been some bad blood between the two on set — especially in light of Lively’s ongoing legal battle with her “It Ends With Us” co-star and director, Justin Baldoni.

However, the “Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants” star had an overwhelmingly positive response when asked about her experience working with Kendrick, calling her “the best.”

Although the two women did not sit together in the theater at SXSW, they notably posed for photos and stood side by side during a Q&A session.

The conspiracy theories first gained traction after the “Woman of the Hour” star presented the best director award at the 2025 BAFTA Awards last month.

During her introduction, Kendrick said that being a director is “one of the most exhilarating and exhausting jobs in the world.”

“We all have huge respect for directors,” she said with a smile.

Although Kendrick did not mention Baldoni, many viewers took her comments as a subtle “dig” at Lively.

The “Jane the Virgin” star, 41, claimed the “Shallows” star tried to take over his film weeks after she accused him of sexual harassment.

However, others argued that the internet trolls were “reaching” and that Kendrick presenting the director category was simply a “funny coincidence.”

While neither woman has directly addressed the chatter, Feig, 62, tried to put the rumors to rest over the weekend.

After a YouTuber claimed there was clear tension between the co-stars on the SXSW red carpet, the director replied, “Um … you’re wrong.”
