A decomposing body was found inside the trunk of a Tesla reportedly registered to New York-born singer D4vd.

Police officers discovered the human remains when they responded to a call Monday around 12:20 p.m. of a foul odor coming from a tow yard in Hollywood, a spokesperson for the Los Angeles Police Department tells Page Six.

According to ABC7, the Tesla is registered in Hempstead, Texas, to D4vd, whose real name is David Anthony Burke.

The car had been impounded for days before cops made the gruesome discovery.

The LAPD is currently investigating and there’s no information about the identity of the remains, which were found stashed in a bag in the front trunk of the electric vehicle.

D4vd’s rep told NBC Los Angeles that the singer is cooperating with authorities in their investigation.

“D4vd has been informed about what’s happened. And, although he is still out on tour, he is fully cooperating with the authorities,” his rep said Tuesday.

D4vd, 20, has two million followers on Instagram and has over 33 million monthly listeners on Spotify.

He rose to popularity in 2022, when he released singles “Here with Me” and “Romantic Homicide,” which went viral on TikTok. The two songs currently have billions of streams on Spotify.

The musician released his debut album, “Withered,” in April 2025.

D4vd’s latest Instagram post was on Sunday, when he promoted the deluxe version of “Withered.”

“Every song written exclusively by me on my phone baby, this is a passion project i put together to make sure i didn’t lose the raw emotional weight my music carries and how much it means to u all,” he wrote.

He also shared a selfie on Saturday, writing, “I start media training tomorrow guys wish me luck…”

D4vd is currently in the middle of his “Withered” world tour and has a show in Minneapolis scheduled for Tuesday night.
