Singer RAYE Breaks Silence on Rumors She’s Dating Actor Michael B. Jordan: ‘Just Friends’

RAYE has broken her silence over rumors she’s dating Michael B. Jordan one month after they were spotted together.

“I’m technically not allowed to talk about it because I might get in trouble,” the British singer, 28, told Extra on Sunday, September 27, when asked about her and Jordan’s upcoming project.

While RAYE (real name Rachel Keen) played coy about her business venture with the actor, 39, she did react to speculation that they are romantically involved after the pair were seen together at Six Flags Magic Mountain in August.

“No, we’re just friends who like roller coasters,” RAYE insisted, denying any romantic sparks with Jordan.

The “Escapism” singer also spoke with Entertainment Tonight on the 2026 MTV VMAs red carpet, teasing that she’s been “booked and busy” over the past few months.

RAYE, however, was adamant that she and Jordan are “just lovely friends” and completely platonic.

“We’ve been working on some things, which is really nice,” she teased, referring to her and Jordan’s upcoming film.

RAYE’s comments come more than one month after she was spotted going on rides with Jordan on August 7 at the Valencia, California, amusement park.

In one fan photo posted via X, RAYE was seen sitting side by side on a roller coaster. The pair were later photographed on a separate ride talking before it took off.

While some fans shipped RAYE with the Black Panther star, the musician confirmed on Sunday that she is still looking for Mr. Right — and not releasing a new record until she is fully in love.

“I’m really excited, but also not forcing that chapter,” the “Where Is My Husband” singer told ET on the red carpet. “It just needs to find you naturally, you know, and they do say love finds you when you stop looking. So, I’m just out here doing my work, getting it done, getting sleep when I can.”

Jordan, for his part, was most recently in a relationship with Steve Harvey’s daughter Lori Harvey.

Us confirmed in June 2022 that Jordan and Lori, 29, had called it quits after they were first linked in late 2020.

Jordan later sparked romance speculation with actress Taylor Russell in March 2025 after the pair were seen taking a stroll down Oxford Street in London.

Neither star addressed the rumors, but the speculation wasn’t a complete surprise as Jordan and Russell, 32, filmed The Thomas Crown Affair together that year. The movie hits theaters in March 2027.
