Sir David Beckham offers olive branch to son Brooklyn as family feud intensifies
Knighthood has apparently put Sir David Beckham in the mood to forgive.
The former soccer star seemingly extended an olive branch to his eldest son, Brooklyn Beckham, via Instagram Saturday amid their tense family feud.
Eagle-eyed fans on social media noticed that David tagged Brooklyn in the comments section of wife Victoria Beckham’s post celebrating his recent knighthood from King Charles III.
The Inter Miami soccer team co-owner, 50, commented, “I love you all ❤️ @victoriabeckham @brooklynpeltzbeckham @romeobeckham @cruzbeckham #HarperSeven ❤️.”
In her post, Victoria praised her husband for always being her “knight in shining armour.”
“But now it’s official. Sir @davidbeckham!!! Your dedication to the things that matter most — your country, your work, your passion, and most of all, your family — has never wavered,” the former Spice Girl, 51, continued.
“The way you’ve touched so many lives over the years with kindness and humility speaks volumes about the man you are and continues to inspire us everyday. But above all else, I’m so, so proud to call you mine. I love you so much.”
Reps for David and Brooklyn did not immediately respond to Page Six’s requests for comment.
David’s comment on Victoria’s post came shortly after their other sons — Romeo, 22, and Cruz, 20 — also gushed over their dad’s recent milestone via their respective Instagram Stories.
“So so proud of you 🤍🤍🤍🤍,” Romeo wrote across a sweet picture of he and his father smiling together.
Cruz echoed those sentiments, writing, “I’m so proud dad I love you. Sir David Beckham has a nice ring to it.”
At the time of publication, Brooklyn, 26, had not publicly shared any reaction to his dad’s knighthood on social media, though sources previously told us that he is “so happy for his dad.”
“He knows it was something important to him,” an insider claimed.
However, the source also noted that Brooklyn and his wife, Nicola Peltz, only learned of David’s achievement through the media as “there was no communication and no one from the family reached out.”
As Page Six previously reported, Brooklyn and Peltz, 30, have been embroiled in a tense rift with the Beckhams since their 2022 Palm Beach wedding.
While rumors of the feud died down for some time, reports of a growing divide between the two parties resurfaced earlier this year after the young couple skipped both of David’s 50th birthday celebrations.
At the time, an insider told us that Brooklyn and Peltz made no attempt to attend the former athlete’s celebrity-packed bash in May as they “never go to [Beckham] family events anymore” — or even visit David and Victoria.
