slinky Chanel and surreal Schiaparelli
Teyana Taylor isn’t done yet.
After taking the stage for the best picture win for “One Battle After Another,” Teyana Taylor stepped out on the Vanity Fair Oscar Party 2026 red carpet in an elegant white Chanel gown and matching satin shoes.
The dress dripped with chain straps highlighting the dramatic open back, accented with a matching choker necklace — channeling the brand’s iconic handbags.
The actress and singer, 35, showed off her collection of tattoos down her spine, rib cage and forearm in the celestial gown, which featured crystal-encrusted stars at the shoulder blades. A pair of Tiffany & Co. diamond earrings added extra sparkle to the look.
Earlier in the evening, Taylor walked the Oscars red carpet in another Chanel design — this time a black-and-white feathered gown with a mesh panel at the waist. She earned a best supporting actress nomination at the ceremony for her portrayal of resistance activist Perfidia in Paul Thomas Anderson’s politically charged thriller.
After leaving the Vanity Fair bash, Taylor changed into the night’s third look for a party at Craig’s Restaurant in West Hollywood: a straight-off-the-runway Schiaparelli set that highlighted her chiseled abs.
The “squiggle wiggle knits,” as the brand called them, comprised a wool and cashmere top with undulating waves of leather-trimmed fabric and gold snaps, paired with a matching midi pencil skirt and black gloves.
She completed the look with Schiaparelli’s trompe l’oeil gold toe mules ($4,100).
The Harlem native is a VF party regular who brings a different fashion personality to the bash each year. In 2023, she brought her personal flair to a menswear-inspired look with a sheer blouse, pinstripe trousers and a gold metal breastplate, accessorizing with Vivienne Westwood jewelry.
In 2025, she went all out in a cherry red LaQuan Smith gown made of sheer power mesh, with hip cutouts and a ruffled tulle skirt that swept the carpet.
This year’s appearance caps an awards season that cemented her as a red carpet force. Taylor won her first Golden Globe in a custom Schiaparelli gown with a crystal-encrusted thong, then pivoted to a full-coverage Burberry trench-coat dress at the BAFTAs.
At the Actor Awards earlier this month, she stunned in a Thom Browne trompe-l’oeil “naked” dress — with her daughter Rue Rose Shumpert, 5, fixing her train on the carpet.
Off the carpet, Taylor fronted Vanity Fair’s winter 2026 cover, posing as Lady Liberty in Ralph Lauren and a custom Bode pearl crown. In the accompanying interview, she dished on the “All’s Fair” group chat she shares with Kim Kardashian, Naomi Watts, Sarah Paulson and Glenn Close.
“When you’re on set with all girls, you have the group chat, and it’s like, chatty, and we’re just having a ball,” Taylor told the magazine. “It was like, ‘Oh my God, does anybody have this? Oh my God, Kim, I need you to call over to Skims. I need a bra ASAP.’”
