Sofia Vergara wears leather corset with $72K Hermès bag in Paris
Sofía Vergara went all-in on black leather in Paris.
The “Modern Family” alum, 53, stepped out at Hôtel Costes in Paris on Thursday night wearing a plunging custom Laura Basci leather corset — her third corseted look of the week during Paris Fashion Week.
She paired the structured black top with a Cami NYC velvet skirt ($316) and a leather trench coat draped over her shoulders.
Her most eye-catching accessory, however, was an Hermès mini Kelly bag in shiny black alligator with gold hardware, a secondhand version of which is currently selling for $72,500 at Sotheby’s.
Vergara finished the look with Aquazzura heels ($1,220) in black, a sparkling bracelet, delicate layered necklaces and several gold rings.
She’s clearly a fan of the platform sandals; the “Griselda” star wore the same Aquazzura style in different colorways with her two previous PFW outfits this week.
On Tuesday, Vergara dined at Hôtel Costes in a purple lace Laura Basci corset with an eggplant leather Rokh midi skirt and a coordinating jacket by The Andamane.
Wednesday brought a similarly sultry look, as she arrived at a WWD event at the Hotel de Crillon in a corseted brown lace slip dress with a camel suede trench coat and Bottega Veneta leather clutch ($3,500).
The Colombian actress — who confirmed her relationship with businessman Douglas Chabbott in December — has long been loyal to Basci as her go-to corset designer. The Los Angeles-based, Swiss-Italian designer has been crafting custom pieces for the actress since at least 2020, and also counts Lauren Sánchez and Mariah Carey among her clients.
“I just want to wear things that make me feel good and sexy,” Vergara told People last year. “If I’m going out, I don’t care if I’m uncomfortable.”
She added that corsets, specifically, are a wardrobe staple: “Corsets are great. I need a lot of structure.”
