Summer House’s Lindsay Hubbard Slams Johnny Bananas’ Claims They Hooked Up

Summer House star Lindsay Hubbard is responding to Johnny Bananas’ claims about the nature of their relationship.

“Dear @JohnnyBananas, in case you never had the birds and the bees talk, you actually have to have sex to get pregnant, and last I checked, we never hooked up,” Hubbard, 39, shared via her Instagram Story on Tuesday, December 2. “Get your relevancy from someone else. And let me be clear, my baby is way too cute to be a bananas baby 👋.”

Bananas, 43, responded to Hubbard’s post, writing, “Dear @Lindshubbs Banana babies don’t come out cute, they come out legendary….yours is safe.”

So what made Hubbard activated in the first place? Her post appears to be in response to Bananas’ recent podcast appearance.

While chatting with Dax Holt and Adam Glyn on the November 26 episode of the “Hollywood Raw” podcast, Bananas was asked where things stand with Hubbard after they were photographed together in November 2023.

“We got paparazzied somewhere in, like, the West Village, but the timeline made it real scary for me, when a few months later it’s like, ‘Oh yeah, Lindsay Hubbard is pregnant,’” Bananas recalled. “I was like, ‘Damn it. I wish I would have grabbed one of those condoms from the sound guy.’”

The Challenge star added, “There’s no way her kid’s mine. Could you imagine? You would have known right away.”

Hubbad was photographed outside a West Village restaurant in New York with Bananas on what would have been her wedding weekend to Summer House costar Carl Radke. (He abruptly called off the engagement in August 2023.)

In July 2024, Hubbard announced she was pregnant and expecting her first child with Turner Kufe. Although the pair are not together, they have found a way to coparent their daughter.

“Turner and I are the best team. We do wonderful coparenting,” Hubbard told Us Weekly in June. “He comes over every single morning [and] every single evening after work, if Gemma is not staying at his apartment that night.”

Long before Hubbard became a mom — who will soon star in a Summer House spinoff tentatively titled In the City — Bananas said he knew the Bravo reality star from her role as a publicist.

“I knew Lindsay before she ever did reality TV. I knew Lindsay when she was still doing [PR],” he explained in his recent podcast appearance. “I worked with her [for] years, years, I mean, this is eons ago. Then we kind of lost touch, went kind of our own direction.”

When Bananas discovered that Hubbard was launching Summer House in 2017, he wasn’t surprised.

“I was super happy for her. She’s always a great time,” he shared. “It was no shock to me that she found her way on reality TV.”

As excitement builds for season 10 of Summer House, Hubbard previously told Us that she may be bringing a different vibe to the Hamptons now that she’s a mom.

“Gemma’s going to be between 6 and 9 months old this summer, and it’s the perfect age to spend my first summer with her,” she told Us in June. “I’m obviously going to be bringing her to the Hamptons a lot.”
