Taylor Frankie Paul is seemingly committed to “just keep swimming” alongside her daughter Indy amid her most recent domestic violence allegations and custody dispute.

“Just keep swimming… with some singing,” Paul, 31, wrote via Instagram on Saturday, April 4, alongside a video showing the reality TV star singing in the shower — fully clothed — as her daughter, 8, danced in front of the bathroom mirror.

“My mini with sass,” Paul wrote over the video, which was seemingly taken by her daughter via an iPhone. (Paul also shares Ocean, 5, with her ex-husband Tate Paul, and Ever, 2, with her ex boyfriend Dakota Mortensen.)

While The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives star received a fair amount of criticism in the comments section for how she was dancing in front of her daughter, plenty of fans offered her praise and support amid her ongoing legal troubles with Mortensen.

Taylor Frankie Paul was seemingly able to laugh off her past arrest. “Tip: don’t throw things, you might see police lights,” Paul, 31, wrote over an August 2025 TikTok video of herself lip-synching to Rihanna’s “Breakin’ Dishes” about an unfaithful partner. “I’m breakin’ dishes up in here, all night,” the lyrics read. “I ain’t gon’ […]

“This is everything. Keep singing, Taylor!” one fan wrote.

According to a report from the Draper City Police Department in Utah obtained by Us Weekly, authorities opened a domestic assault investigation into the former couple on February 23. Mortensen accused Taylor of “scratching” him and physically assaulting him during the alleged dispute.

Mortensen later claimed in the report that there were “two incidents of physical assault involving ‘grabbing, scratching, shoving, and striking’ at the hands of Taylor. Per the same report, authorities have opened a second investigation, which includes an additional accusation of domestic violence in the presence of a child. Draper PD told People no charges have been filed.

Taylor has denied the allegations, and alleged that Mortensen has been abusive towards her. He has also denied the allegations against him. According to documents obtained by Us on March 20, Mortensen was awarded temporary custody of Ever and a temporary protective order against Taylor amid the domestic violence allegations.

Days later, video of a 2023 domestic dispute between Taylor and Mortensen surfaced, in which Taylor could be seen physically assaulting and throwing chairs at Mortensen in the presence of her daughter. She was subsequently arrested and charged with aggravated assault, two counts of domestic violence in the presence of a child, child abuse with injury and criminal mischief.

Taylor pleaded guilty to aggravated assault in exchange for the other charges to be dismissed.

Hours after the video surfaced, ABC announced that Taylor’s The Bachelorette season was canceled ahead of its scheduled March 22 premiere.
