Taylor Swift bites her nails in nerve-wracking final moments of fiancé Travis Kelce’s Chiefs game
Taylor Swift was spotted biting her nails during the nerve-wracking final moments of Travis Kelce’s losing Kansas City Chiefs game against the Denver Broncos on Christmas Day.
The Grammy winner anxiously gnawed on her manicure and took a deep sigh as she watched the Broncos come out ahead with a 20-13 victory at the Chiefs’ Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City, Mo., Thursday.
Kelce appeared to be emotional after the loss amid speculation that this could be the tight end’s final season of his NFL career.
In a pre-taped interview ahead of the game, Kelce expressed that he hasn’t yet decided if he is going to retire — but also hinted that it wasn’t out of the question.
Taylor was seen walking to her VIP suite while joined by her parents, Scott and Andrea Swift.
The songwriter, 36, stayed warm by wearing a festive red bomber jacket by The Frankie Shop.
She also carried a brown Louis Vuitton purse.
The “Opalite” songstress, who has been a staple at Kelce’s games since they started dating, was front and center to support Kelce, 36, as the Chiefs took on the Los Angeles Chargers on Dec. 18.
At the time, she was seen adorably holding one of Kylie Kelce and Jason Kelce’s daughters while in a suite.
Taylor was also joined by her mom and the Kelce matriarch, Donna Kelce.
The game, however, was a devastating blow to the Chiefs after they lost against the Chargers 16-13, eliminating them from the playoffs.
The loss resulted in the first time the team would not be in the running for the Super Bowl since 2014.
Kelce addressed the “obviously f–ked up” circumstances on his “New Heights” podcast last week.
Talking about the remainder of the season, he told listeners, “Chiefs Kingdom, we’re gonna give you everything we got. There’s no question about that.”
“If we’re gonna go out there and play some football, we’re gonna do it the right way and keep trying to get these things fixed and end on the highest note that we can,” the tight end added.
“All I’d know is to go out there and play my ass off and to show up and, you know, give my guys the best chance to win. I think that’s the mentality, man. There’s an integrity thing here,” he continued.
The Chiefs lost to the Tennessee Titans 9-26 on Sunday, Dec 21.
Their final game will be against rival team the Las Vegas Raiders on Jan. 4.
