Teddi Mellencamp details terrifying symptoms that led to brain tumor discovery

Teddi Mellencamp had been dealing with “debilitating headaches” for months before her health took a turn for the worst — and she discovered her melanoma cancer had spread to her brain.
The “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” alum, 43, shared in a new interview that she was rushed to the hospital in February because she started having problems with her vision.
“That day, I couldn’t see,” she told ABC News Friday. “I mean, I could barely get down the stairs.”
At the time, Mellencamp revealed on social media that doctors had found “multiple tumors” on her brain that had been “growing for at least 6 months.”
The “Two T’s in a Pod” co-host was first diagnosed with stage 2 melanoma, a form of skin cancer, in 2022.
Prior to Mellencamp’s condition worsening, though, she had about 16 different surgeries to remove melanoma spots all over her body, per her interview with ABC News.
“My whole back is, like, pretty much — it looks like a big Z,” the reality star said during the sit-down.
She was finally “cleared” at her most recent skin check appointment. However, there were other issues.
After doctors found “four plum-sized tumors” on Mellencamp’s brain earlier this month, she was told that her melanoma had progressed to stage 4 and had spread to her brain and lungs.
During this time, Mellencamp has been leaning on her family, including estranged husband Edwin Arroyave, and friends like “RHOBH” star Kyle Richards for support.
However, she recently admitted via Instagram that she feels “very alone” at times and that she sometimes forgets she is allowed to “be sad” and “cry it out.”
Her pal Erika Jayne exclusively told Page Six on Thursday that Mellencamp’s friends are staying “strong” for her, noting that the mom of three is in the “fight of her life.”
Mellencamp further told ABC News that doctors told her she has a 50-50 chance of surviving, while also recognizing that there is not much research yet on the immunotherapy treatment she is undergoing.
She told the outlet she’s learned not to “take anything for granted.”
“Normally, I’m used to running seven miles,” the All In By Teddi founder pointed out. “Today, I’m barely walking one. But you know what? I’m here and that makes me feel good.”
