Soap opera star Susan Flannery is making the big move Down Under.

Susan Seaforth Hayes, 82, revealed on Instagram on Aug. 5 that Flannery, 86 — whom she starred alongside on Days of Our Lives — was making a major life change with a move from Los Angeles to Australia.

To mark the event, Hayes shared a photo of herself, The Bold and the Beautiful alum and Suzanne Rogers in their early days of starring on Days of Our Lives. The trio could be seen side-by side, mirroring a more recent photo taken of them at a restaurant.

“3 Susies have breakfast at Art’s Deli,” Hayes captioned the photo. “The occasion: Susan Flannery, one of the great ladies of daytime or anywhere she turns up — is moving to Australia.”

“Flannery was a beloved mentor and pal to Suzanne and me in our early Salem Days together,” the actress continued. “Laughs, love, tears, hugs… just like Salem. We will miss her ❤️⏳.”

It appears that the move has been in the works for some time, as The Bold and the Beautiful star Katherine Kelly Lang, who starred with Flannery on the series, previously hinted at the move in her Instagram Stories in July.

Lang revealed that she and costar Ashley Jones attended a goodbye party for Flannery to celebrate the move to Australia, according to Soap Opera Digest, which also noted that Flannery has an adopted daughter named Blaise who lives in Australia with her children.

Flannery is known as a daytime TV legend, having starred in nearly 4,000 episodes of The Bold and The Beautiful from 1987 to 2012 (she also made appearances in 2018 and in 2023). Before that she starred in over 1,100 episodes of Days of Our Lives from 1966 to 1975.

She’s also earned ten daytime Emmy nominations for her work in the Outstanding Lead Actress category for both soap operas. She eventually made history as the first actress to win the Lead Actress award for two different roles on two different soaps, per Soap Opera Digest.

Flannery has also been featured in several other shows including Dallas, Hope & Faith and The Young and the Restless.
