‘The Challenge’ star debuts girlfriend a year after announcing he’s no longer gay

“The Challenge” star Davis Mallory hard-launched his romance with his girlfriend a year after announcing he was no longer gay.

The former reality star recently took to Instagram to share a collage of special moments he spent with his girlfriend, Rachel Vaughan, on vacation.

“Thankful for new memories that someday turn to old photographs,” he captioned the post.

In a second Instagram post, Mallory, 43, packed on the PDA during their romantic getaway, sharing a kiss for their selfie.

“It’s crazy what love can do. I love you @rachelevaughanaa,” he captioned the post.

Mallory told TMZ that he and Vaughan first met in February 2022 while he was DJing a wedding in Hawaii.

The “Real World: Denver” alum told the outlet that they began traveling together, becoming best friends before falling in love.

The pair officially began dating in August.

Mallory’s new romance comes a year after he announced that God “pulled [him] out” of living a “gay lifestyle.”

“I lived the gay lifestyle for about 20 years,” he told a crowd at the church in Hawaii last September.

“I was on a television show, ‘The Real World,’ and I came out on the show as a gay Christian, but God really pulled me out of that lifestyle a year ago. Praise God,” the former TV star added.

Mallory then got candid about nightmares he experienced due to the times he would “return to sin.”

“He started speaking to me in my dreams and showing me the spiritual warfare that I was going through. Every time I returned to sin, I would have a nightmare that my car was being broken into,” he claimed.

“I had a nightmare that I gave my title to someone else, as I was giving my identity to someone else, or my car was sliding backwards. He was just showing me these strong visual images of what sin was doing in my life.”

Mallory starred on Season 18 of  “The Real World,” which took place in Denver. He also competed on three seasons of “The Challenge,” including “Inferno 3” (Season 14), “Duel II” (Season 17) and “Rivals” (Season 21).

The former MTV star would often speak about his coming-out journey and how he navigated being gay in a conservative family.
