The Jersey Shore Alum Reunited for Sammi ‘Sweetheart’ Giancola’s Wedding to Justin May While 1 Star Was Noticeably Absent

Sammi ‘Sweetheart’ Giancola is sharing a look at her romantic nuptials to Justin May.

On Thursday, Dec. 4, The TV star, 38, showed several moments from the big event on her Instagram Stories, including the pair exchanging their vows, taking their first dance together and celebrating with family and friends — including several of her Jersey Shore costars.

She reposted several videos and photos taken from her loved ones, including a snap of her with one of her best friends before she walked down the aisle. In the picture, she could be seen wearing a strapless white dress — which included a nod to her name: a sweetheart neckline. The silk dress transformed at the bottom into several ruffles that flared out around her.

Giancola then reshared a photo of herself — now adorned with a long veil over her hail that cascaded down past the edge of her dress — and May at the top of the aisle as they exchanged vows. The altar was decorated with a large arch with one side filled with green leaves and the other with white roses. Several small chandeliers also adorned the altar with white candles.

The newlyweds then stepped into the ballroom of the Park Chateau Estate & Gardens for their reception, per TMZ. The couple shared their first dance to the Goo Goo Dolls’ song, “Iris,” as light smoke coated the bottom of the dance floor.

Giancola donned another dazzling dress for the rest of the reception. This one featured a halter neckline with silver beads and a high slit on her left leg. She paired it with white heels and teardrop earrings. 

While wearing the second dress, she took more photos, including one of her and her fellow Jersey Shore castmembers, Mike Sorrentino, Jenni “JWoww” Farley, Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi, Angelina Pivarnick, Pauly DelVecchio, Vinny Guadagnino and Deena Cortese. However, one of her costars was notably missing from the event, ex-boyfriend Ronnie Ortiz-Magro.

Other videos of the event showed her and her new husband spreading cocoa over their large tiramisu wedding cake and dancing the night away with their friends and family as the DJ played electronic music.

DelVecchio’s girlfriend, Nikki Hall, also shared an inside look at the wedding on her Instagram Stories, including the layout of the reception and specialized cocktails in honor of the newlyweds, which included a “J-Tini,” “Sweetheart Spritz” and “May-ito.” 

An artist was tapped for the big event to do a live painting of the couple down the aisle. Hall also came away with her own mini-artist drawing of her and DelVecchio at the wedding. The carousel also showed some special moments like her, Farley, Polizzi and Lauren Sorrentino having fun while taking photos in a photo booth.

Giancola announced her engagement to May — whom she welcomed a son with earlier this year — by sharing a photo of the pair posing together while holding up her new engagement ring, a gold band from Cozzi Jewelers, to the camera.

“Life update: Fiancé 💍🥹♥️ 3.16.24 The easiest question I’ve ever answered.. happiest & luckiest girl in the world 😭 I’ll love you forever, and then some 🤍 #Futurewifey #Engaged,” the Jersey Shore: Family Vacation star next to a series of photos from their special day. 

The reality television star added, “[I] can’t wait to spend the rest of my life with you,” while noting to her followers that the news was “not an April Fools joke.”
