The Tomorrowland 2025 Main Stage Burned Down Before Opening Day, But the Festival Will Continue

The main stage at Tomorrowland, an electronic dance music festival in Boom, Belgium, has been destroyed in a major fire.
The main stage became rapidly engulfed in flames on Wednesday, July 16, as seen in footage shared by Belgian news station VRT NWS. The festival will continue as planned on Thursday, July 17. The festival confirmed the fire in a statement shared on Instagram, adding that no one was injured in the fire.
“We can announce that, DreamVille (campsite) will open tomorrow (Thursday, July 17) as planned and will be ready for all DreamVille visitors. All Global Journey activities in Brussels and Antwerp will take place as planned,” the statement read.
The statement concluded, “We are focused on finding solutions for the festival weekend (Friday – Saturday – Sunday). More updates and detailed information will be communicated as soon as possible.”
Police spokesperson Joris Van Camp said in a statement to VRT NWS that officials are “given maximum space to do their work. People’s safety is our top priority. We advise people experiencing odor nuisance to close their windows and doors and stay out of the smoke.”

“Without a main stage I don’t know what to expect,” one festival goer told the outlet. This year’s stage was approximately 147 meters high, approximately 524 meters wide, and featured 2,120 atmospheric elements, including 65 water fountains and two waterfalls, VRT NWS reports.
This year marks the 19th edition of Tomorrowland. The set list includes Martin Garrix, Steve Aoki, Armin van Buuren, Charlotte de Witte, David Guetta, Hardwell, Nervo, John Summit, Fisher, Amelie Lens, Alok, Agents of Time, Miss Monique, The Blessed Madonna, and more.
