The truth behind Amy Schumer and Chris Fischer’s relationship status revealed amid divorce rumors

Amy Schumer and Chris Fischer are reportedly devoted to making their marriage work — despite recent rumors swirling that they could be headed for divorce.

“They’re privately working through normal issues that couples in long-term marriages have,” a source told People Thursday.

“They are both committed to the relationship.”

Schumer, 44, and Fischer, 45, tied the knot in 2018 and share a 6-year-old son named Gene.

The insider addressed Schumer’s standing with Fischer after a close friend of the comedian claimed she and her husband were heading toward a split.

“Amy is 100 percent getting divorced. She got skinny, she is over it,” the friend told the Daily Mail, referring to the “Trainwreck” star’s recent weight loss.

The source claimed that the chef is “mostly out of the house,” and that the couple has listed their homes in Brooklyn and New Orleans for sale.

“She deleted Chris from Instagram then deleted everything else,” the friend pointed out, adding, “She’s going to file soon, but it’s over. Done.”

Another source alleged to the outlet that Schumer and Fischer have been distant for some time now.

“Amy doesn’t talk about Chris that much anymore, it’s like they are no longer close,” the second source claimed. “He is never around, and she has not taken him on a red carpet for months.”

The insider also claimed that due to Fisher’s autism diagnosis, he “doesn’t even get her jokes.”

“Being funny and making people laugh is important to her,” the second source said. “Also, there is that classic cliche: when a woman loses weight, her personality changes.”

The second source alleged that Schumer has “changed” for the better since transforming her body.

“She is much lighter in her spirit, more easy-going. I think she wants more out of life,” the second source said.

A third informant told the outlet that Fischer and Schumer have been “on a routine” for years.

“They have focused more on their child then [sic] their relationship and his brutal honesty being autistic is a blessing and a curse for Amy to where she has joked about it on some of her specials but it has also become a minor issue for their relationship,” the third source said.

Schumer confirmed that she and Fischer were on a relationship regimen in February when she shared that they have to schedule time for sex.

“We do birthdays … we do schedule it, we do schedule it,” she confessed during her appearance on “The View” at the time.

The “Kinda Pregnant” actress began exhibiting her dramatic slimmed-down figure last month after embarking on a GLP1-fueled weight loss journey.

This week, she scrubbed her Instagram account — deleting all of her old photos, including snaps with her fuller figure.

Schumer denied that she intentionally deleted her pre-weight loss photos, writing on social media that she is “proud of how [she has] looked always.”

“I have been working to be pain free and I finally am. My endometriosis is better. My back is healing. I no longer have Cushing syndrome so my face went back to normal,” she wrote.

“I am grateful to be strong and healthy especially for my son,” she added. “But your Instagram is not your identity it’s a curation of what you want the world to see and I feel great strong and beautiful and it’s been fun sharing that.”

Schumer explained that she didn’t intentionally lose weight and instead was focused on bettering her health.

“I’m sure my weight will always fluctuate,” she said in part. “Wishing you strength and self love on whatever path you’re on as long as it’s kind and respectful to all people. No matter their weight race or religion peace!”

Schumer’s rep did not immediately respond to Page Six’s request for comment.
