Tracker’s Justin Hartley Teases ‘Pure and Raw’ Reunion With Wife Sofia: ‘Something Really Big Happens’

Justin Hartley and wife Sofia Pernas‘ next reunion on Tracker isn’t just bringing the heat — but the emotion as well.

Hartley teased what fans can expected from the upcoming episode, telling TV Insider on Sunday, February 16, “She just finished [filming] actually last week. Something really big happens between them. He calls on a favor. She doesn’t remember owing him any favors, so he has to remind her. And then she comes in and delivers and she does exactly what he asked for.”

While Hartley kept plot-specific details to himself, he hinted that the highly anticipated reunion would push Colter and Billie’s relationship further along.

“Then by the end, he realizes that maybe he asked for too much. And they have this really great moment that is just honest and pure and raw,” Hartley noted. “You find out a little bit more about their relationship and not necessarily what exactly happened, but that something big happened and that it was sort of unfortunate.”

Hartley didn’t rule out a potential romantic reconciliation between the fictional couple, adding, “Now, are they going to rebuild? There’s a lot of feelings there and a lot of emotion there. And you see it in this episode — and I think it’s [season] 2 and [episode] 15.”

Elsewhere in the interview, Hartley was asked whether more of his former costars from This Is Us would make guest appearances on his hit CBS series.

“We’ll have some more. And you know what? It’s so funny when you’re in this business for as long as I’ve been in it, and I didn’t realize it until Tracker, really? I’m like, ‘S–t, I’ve been around.’ You develop all these relationships and you can call on friends who otherwise wouldn’t do these things,” he explained. “And you get all these really wonderful people that come on. You’ll see some really familiar faces, some really big TV name, familiar faces come on and just do stellar work on our show. It elevates the show. I just think it’s wonderful that we’re able to do that.”

Tracker, which premiered in February 2024, is centered around a survivalist named Colter (Hartley) who travels the country helping to solve a variety of mysteries. Hartley’s role as an executive producer has allowed him to surprise viewers with exciting guest stars such as Pernas, Melissa Roxburgh, Jensen Ackles, Jennifer Morrison and more.

Hartley first worked with Pernas on The Young and The Restless in 2015. Years later, they reconnected off screen and exchanged vows in 2021. Along with Tracker, they collaborated on the short-lived Quantum Leap reboot.

“She’s wonderful. I mean, if I had my choice, I’d spend every minute with her,” Hartley gushed to Us Weekly in July 2024. “What’s really cool is when you meet someone that means so much to you, that you’re so proud to be with and so proud of, and just such a fan of, and to get to see her work, because she’s such a talented actor. She elevates scenes, and so it makes my job easier, actually. But yeah, it’s just wonderful to work with her.”
